I just boght Humble Bundle Monthly to get Destiny 2.
Unfortunatelly when I try to redeem the key I get an error which says "The key is restirected to use in another country".
It makes no sense because Humble Bundle makes us link Blizzard account so something like that won't happen.

Anyone else had the same error?

copied from humble support.

Q: I am getting a region related error message when I try to redeem

In order for your Destiny 2 key to redeem properly you need your Battle.net account region and the key region to match. If either one is not correct, then the key cannot be redeemed and will display this error -

If you are unsure of which region is not correct, please check your Blizzard Account settings page and see if the region there is where you currently are. It should look like this -

If your Battle.net account is registered to the incorrect region, you can reach out to Blizzard customer service to request a region change. Please see their support article here for the process - See: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/7656

If your Battle.net region is correct yet the key you received does not work, please reach out to Humble Bundle customer service and we can investigate further!

When I saw they have 6 separate regions for the keys I knew this was gonna happen. Especially in (y)our case it sucks, Turkey is included in the middle east region when normally you should play on EU servers...
I wonder if there's a way to see your HB account's region?

Why would you play in EU from Turkey? 90% if that country is in Asia...

Considering the population density and internet usage, I'd say at least 1/4 of the people are either living in the EU side or very close to it.
Playing on asian servers wouldn't make any sense. The distance is too long, pings will be terrible and most Turkish people know some English rather than any asian languages.

If you are from Turkey, you basically have 2 options:
1- Play on Turkish servers, if there are any
2- Play on EU servers
anything else would be unplayable due to ping.

1 - Turkey always had servers + Translation to games
2 - They intentionally play on nordic servers to piss off Russians and Balcanian countries with their 24/7 spam in Turkish, while their own servers are half empty and pretty much a huge waste of money.

And no. Their Capital is in Asia, so the mass population is in Asia not Europe, or sorry... What did you think is their capital? Istanbul?

Edit: I'm a moron. I always tough 90% of Turkey was in Asia and 10% in Europe... Just facts checked. It's actually 95% vs 5%, WHICH SUPPORTS MY CLAIM EVEN FURTHER...

I haven't said anything about the Capital of Turkey or Translations of the games.
Considering the population density and internet usage = means Internet users from Turkey are mostly from the Marmara region which is half in Europe or very close to Europe for the rest. Redirecting those people to Asian servers would literally have same effect as re-directing people from Bulgaria to Asian servers, both culturally and ping wise.

The Capital of Turkey has 5.4 million population while Istanbul has more than 15 million people that's not even counting people who are not registered as living in Istanbul but living, studying or working there also as I said, percentage of Internet usage is higher in the west part of Turkey...

1- I guess you are specifically talking about League of Legends here since for MOST (actually for almost any game) Turkey doesn't have servers and players are automatically assigned to EU servers. As I said I never said anything about the translations, I was saying it'd be easier to communicate with people on EU servers considering Turkish people mostly know English or German or some other EU languages (French, Italian etc)

2- I'll put here some graphs showing the ranked population of LoL servers 1st one is from the end of 2016, second one is from 2014. Turkish servers and EU servers give very similar pings and EU servers have better playerbase, everyone who started LoL before Turkish servers were made, had an account on Euw and were playing there anyway... Also it looks like, until 10 months ago LoL Turkish servers were located in EU :)
Tbh, I don't see why people would play on inferior servers, unless they gain something out of it like pro players, get much better pings or can't speak English at all... But anyway for LoL there's such an option, for most of the games it doesn't even exist.

Maybe I should just talk about the facts, like if I try to play PUBG on Asia servers, it's laggy and unplayable, the only option I have is to play on EU servers, which is pretty good ping wise. Now, do you understand kapy? or Do you have any other claims?

Yeah. Yojr statistics are crap. Turkey aint 20 mil population. Nearly all games have a Turk server and their ping aint lower than EU. In LoL there was a 1 year period w. free Eu to Turk transfer and no nearly all Turks know only Turkish. And Bulgaria is normally auto send to the russian servers that are pretty asian as well even if i pref EUW servers as they are better ping for me unlike the ruski that are far far away, unlike the turk for turkey....

I made a 2nd account with a VPN just so i could activate my key and play with my friend. Might be worth doing as an alternative if you cant find any other work around.

It just doesn't make sense since my blizard account is linked to their system so they already know my blizzard account's region. :(

Exact thing is happening to me right now, I've checked my battle.net account and it is registered as UK, Humble Bundle should release keys according to the purchase location which is also UK. I've contacted Humble Bundle customer support so will have to wait and see what they say.

Ok so figured out the problem. Turns out that all devices connected to my home network were sending out random ip addresses, United States, Egypt etc. So when I tried to unlock the game Battle.net thought I was in the wrong region. Just needed to unlock the game using my mobile network and it worked fine.

You don't have to link your account at all. The only account I have linked is my Steam account and that's just leftover from when they used OAuth for key redemption.
