I honestly had no idea what it'd taste like going in, but when i had completed eating one, I fell in love instantly, and my family all enjoyed it as well!

In the Tales Of Series, there are numerous different recipes to try all which offer different status effects for your characters, but what I never did was try to make it myself in real life. The Mabo Curry Bun was the one that had caught my eye and it turned out MUCH better then I had expected considering this was my first time trying tofu.

Anyone here make a food from a video game before?

==========================================================================================

If your randomly interested in how I made it:

Mabo Curry Sauce

1/8 tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp Curry Powder (careful! It can be strong if too much is added)
1/4 tsp Basil Leaves
1/4 Cup Water
1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
4 ounces of Hard Tofu (hard my foot that stuff is gelatinous)

Mix all in a blender well ^

Mabo Curry Food (to go inside)

10-14 ounces of scrambled beef/pork/hamburger (or etc your choice!)
10 ounces of Hard Tofu cut into cubes (small)

Corn Starch to Make thicker later

Bread for containers is your choice, I hand-make mine, but most people just buy from the store

Longer simmering = thicker sauce

How to Make

  1. Make the Curry Sauce in a blender first
  2. Put the Ground meat into a large pan and let it cook for a while (about 4-6 minutes)
  3. After the Small time of cooking is done, pour the sauce over the meat, stir, then let it simmer for 5 minutes (to make it thicker to go into the bread)
  4. Add the tofu and Stir
  5. Put 1 TBSP of Corn Starch in a small cup with some of the sauce and mix it. Then pour it around the pan's mixture and stir till it's inside the entire mixture. This makes it thicker.
  6. Prepare your bread dough (handmade or store-bought) and place them on a cookie sheet with some parchment paper on it. Then place a few spoonfuls in each piece of bread dough, and take the edges of the bread, wrap it over the mabo curry, and pinch it off on the top, twisting it so it stays, thus encasing it.
  7. Cook time is between 12-16 Minutes at 375 Degrees
  8. Remove and let them cool, then enjoy!

Great for kids as well since they don't spill at all!

Spicy Simmered Fruit from Zelda Breath of the Wild a'la Eurogamer Tried the fruits + apple juice recipe with no other berries (had nothing) and instead of a chili I made it with a teaspoon's worth of cayenne pepper - it was really good!
Used about 400g strawberry, 150-200g halved grapes, one apple and 3dl apple juice and 2dl water, + the pepper. The grapes are awesome in it as texture, while strawberries give colour and taste. Cooked for 20min.
Nowadays I have a craving for some better spicy foods ^^

I have the game since february but only played the first tutorials. Seems the combat system is really dense :/ but I want to play it more seriously, soon.

Well, sadly I can't. The fix to have it at 60 fps is not working anymore with me and now I can't even get 30. Everything is unstable :(

Do you have any pictures? Nevermind, I read previous comments. I'm curious what they look like and now I wanna play Tales of Zestiria even more :)
Never tried a recipe from a video game, but I made a cheesecake shared by a steamgifter. I guess that's something :p
