It's @ 80% discount right now and I'm tempted to buy it. To anyone who played it before, is the story and gameplay good?

Story of Saints Row The Third is a little no sense, but it's not bad, games are good, gameplay is great, I played for more than 40h

Saints Row IV story is a complete no sense, game is still great, but imo worse than previous, because superpowers just make it last less,, I played this a one for more than 30h, but I have practically no DLCs.

Games are definitely worth getting, also having DLCs is important, they give some hours to the game.

I only know about SR3 + SR4, haven't played the previous titles, or the latest one. Those two are really fun games, if you don't take them too seriously. However, my personal opinion would be that most of the DLCs take out some of the fun. Let me explain this further: I made the mistake (well, at least I think, it's a mistake, opinions differ after all) to buy the full package of SR3 back then, with the DLCs giving me tons of vehicles and bonus items fairly early in the game with no relation to the storyline at all. In SR4 I resisted the temptation to buy any extra DLCs and I like it much better with just the base game.

Personally I loved Saints Row III more than II or IV. IV is a bit dull with the whole superpowers scene. III however was great fun. Tonnes of stuff to do. As my fellow users before me have commented, the DLCs make the franchise a great buy. It adds tonnes of gameplay. Happy gaming ^-^
