Not that weird. I bought AoE4 outright.
I have no need or reason to get the gamepass, where games can cycle out of their library. I like knowing I have access to the games I purchase when I want them. Not that they would be there for limited times and then cycled out. So this is still useless for people like me.

So users will have to have played purchased copies of the above games, or Halo Infinite’s free-to-play multiplayer mode.
Users can check eligibility and claim the offer over on Microsoft’s website.https://www.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-game-pass/pc-game-pass/trial-offer

My result: "It looks like you're already a Game Pass member."

Here's a tip. Use Microsoft Rewards. I've got two regular months and two ultimate months from Microsoft Rewards for points earned on daily activities. Takes about 31 days now to earn one month regular, 48 days for Ultimate which includes EA Play too. Price increased recently for regular Game Pass. Hasn't increased yet for Ultimate.

I thought it was only available in the US.
Not that I'm very keen on giving Micro$oft a free pass (pun intended) to put a periscope up my ass for trinkets but I'll use my gf's computer :P

I advise using the points as you can, instead of stockpiling for later use. When I tried to claim a reward earlier this month, they suspended my account ambiguously claiming ToS violation. 500,000+ points (us$500~) just gone.

No need to wait to cancel at the end, you can redeem the code and cancel the automatic renovation right after that.

I'm guessing a person would have had to have played the games through Microsofts store and not Steam?

No u can play them through Steam as long as you used ur Microsoft account in them. Cause I can get it even though I only played halo infinite on steam

Heh that's pretty typical of Micro$oft's marketing. "Thank you for your support, good people who buy our recent games for premium prices. Oh no, not you, you already gave us your money so we don't need to encourage your for your support."

I used GP before (Fri, 21 Aug 2020 according to them, they gave a free month) and now it let me use it for another 3 months.
