What was the era you first started gaming in?
Classic NES for me, got it when I was 7, in 1989. I'd played games with friends a few times, but that was when I got one, played several different Atari's before that though.
First game was obviously Mario/Duckhunt

Binatone TV Master Console - sometime before 1979 - it's so long ago I can't remember when exactly but I know I played it in the house I lived in before we moved in 1979 :)

My first system was the NES. 1985, I was 5 years old. My first game was Super Mario Bros. I had the NES system with Robbi the robot so I can Gyromite with it and the zapper to play Duck Hunt.

If you count the PC, then the PC (probably Prince of Persia was among the first). If you count handhelds, then the Gameboy (Tetris was the first, obviously). If you only mean the traditional gaming system, then it'd be the Sega Megadrive II (still have it!) with a 4pack including ESWAT, Sunset Riders, Shadow Dancer and Dick Tracy.

First one we personally owned was a PS2.
But I always played on my friend's N64 and my brother's friend's Gamecube when I was younger.

The oldest console I remember playing on was the PS1, though I think I was on the computer a lot more for the dumb point-and-click children's game of that time. xD

Magnavox Odyssey² all I remember about it was it had bad clones of space invaders, and pac-man. Also had a Pong game. Used the Tandy Color Computer and TSR-80 for most of my gaming. Never did the Nintendo went the Sega route instead. Then over to playstation.

We not only had an Odyssey2 and a TRS-80 but we even had the original Magnavox Odyssey in the 70s. The games came with these transparent overlays you put on the TV screen and basically all you did was move little blocks around behind them.

Commodore 64. I remember playing Wonderboy, Bombjack, Ghosts 'n' Goblins, Ghostbusters, Ninja, Paperboy and The Untouchables. Probably others but can't remember.
I may have had a Pong thingy before that that you connected to the TV. And some Atari.
