I do it, other people do it. Hell, people do it outside of Steam. I've sent various console games to people in other countries myself. Shipping something to the UK often costs more than I spent on the games. :P

Yes, I do. Also I know others too, so faith in humanity isn't lost.

I can see your point, but it's not just about the profile from steam gifts.I mean, look at my profile,do i really look like a guy who has alot of money? Or the type of guy who only creates giveaways to keep his "profile clean"? I don't have alot of money, all the games that i have on steam i have them because other people didn't need them so they helped me (gave them to me).But when i see an offer like humble bunddle has,why wouldn't i buy that for 1$ and gave those away for other people? And you know that bundles are not affecting your steam gifts profile in no way. It's just the simple fact that other people are probably more poor than me and want to play those games,or some of them might be kids who don't have a credit card to buy them,so i buy those bundles only for the fact of giving, because,as i said, the profile remains the same,so you can't say that people are doing this for just some figures on a page, think that you are giving somebody a joy when you make a giveaway and a person wins, don't think about the steam gifts profile.

I don't really gift games to my friends.... I FORCE THEM TO PLAY THE MOST AWESOME GAMES I HAVE... seriously I bring over games to my friends houses and make them play whatever game I found absolutely breathtaking/ just plain awesome!

I recently gifted TrackMania 2 to my best friend :3
If i had moniz i would gift a lot of games to friends and random people, but sadly it's not possible but i still like to share all over the internet and make people happy.
Already had good times with guys that i met on the internet and some of them gifted me back also, that's a nice feelings ;)

Same here, I even having some problems with internet bills (very expensive here). I've only managed to give away bundle games that I don't need so far. There are times that I do give bundles away though, since it's still within my capability.

Already gifted my friends and random guys that i met on the internet out of SG. Recently gifted, Dungeon Defenders, War of the Roses, Just Cause 2, CS:GO, 3x L4D2 to 3 guys (so they could play with me) and 1 copy of Trackmania 2 to my best friend (for 2 reasons; he gave money to buy the SR3: Full package when i had no money and didn't want anything back and 2nd he loves Trackmania as much i love too).
I guess i'm just a good guy who like to make people and friends happy.
A boring story, i know right!

Do you guys ever gift games for your friends for no reason? Well, liking them might be a reason. Seems like people gift games only because of steamgifts.com. The original idea of Gifts on Steam is gone. Now you send gifts, because someone won your giveaway and you want to keep your profile clean. There's not such thing as "oh, I'll buy you a game because you're a cool guy".
Or am I wrong? Do you gift games?
I might post a private giveaway in this thread tomorrow. Don't expect anything big like Fortix. I thinking of Tomb Raider or GRID 2.
kthxbye
edit: Wow, I have no idea what I was thinking. You guys are awesome if these games aren't regifts, game you got for free n' stuff.
