My laptop got 8fps I still played the shit out of it. Then I built a PC so I could play the shit out of it some more.

The first answer sums up my thoughts? Not too shabby, SG. Not too shabby.

hm, if they own GOG and GOG support already declined the request ... then it's like running to daddy and ask him if you can stay up longer after mommy already said you have to go to bed :P

Even if the guys at GOG/CDPR are nice, they won't help you if you buy a GOG game somewhere else than on GOG.com, especially if the key is for TW3 and is coming from GMG
Comment has been collapsed.
They gave Barack Obama a physical copy, which comes with a GOG key. OP wanted a Steam key, but CDPR don't sell the Steam version of the game outside of Steam, exactly like Rockstar or Ubisoft, if you want GTA V or Far Cry 4 on Steam, the only way to get it is on Steam, every other retailers on the planet sell Social Club and UPlay keys.

Weep, activate the key, and play the game?
Edit: Or do as kukeemon suggested. It's worth a try.

i will play this even this game published by blizzard...

Redeem, throw away, giveaway or just ask support, i have bought a thing once that was on some sort of stupid drm not what i expected and i have got full refund same day via paypal without any issues. I did not redeemed it at all ofc.
Comment has been collapsed.
In this case though it has OTHER DRM in big letters right by the price. Product page stating wrong DRM is another matter altogether.

Nowadays yes, however with some pre orders you can still get confused, like for example : http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/pl/en/pc/games/shooter/call-duty-black-ops-iii/#description where description says other drm, while actual pre order key is for steam. Cheers

I got banned for a similar, but even more innocent comment than that, before. :/
(eg, 'You could give that to me! I've got some similar games to trade for it')
Basically, the site staff intentionally view all jokes about breaking of rules, even when they're obvious jokes [or unclear phrasing], as being serious requests/comments, and treat them as such.
You can apologize afterward for your not being aware of their expectations till you're blue in the face, but their reactions.. aren't positive.
Just, don't get on the bad side of the staff, that's not something you want to have to deal with.

It's one of those tricky things about only having text and not vocal inflection to judge someone's comments by.
If it reads like begging it's begging, not everyone has a browser that can detect dry humor and/or sarcasm.

yea I don't want to hold on to it waiting for a pc upgrade

Try trading it for a Steam game w/ the same value or Witcher 3 for steam. Since it's the game Witcher, the value compared to steam should be the same. Hopefully, you will find someone to trade w/. You can also if there is someone who wants to trade for it on your group since you wanted to do a group GA.
Good luck!

You could redeem your Steam copy of Witcher 1 and 2 on GOG. I'm hoping they add the same thing for Witcher 3. Having it on both platform is a best of both worlds scenario.

Which is an excellent reason to actually do this, but later on, once the initial surge of purchases has died down.
Take customers who bought your game elsewhere and bring them over to your platform.

GOG User Agreement
6.7
"d) Withdrawal Right: we give you the right to withdraw from a purchase of GOG content without charge and for any reason within 30 days after you bought that GOG content, IF it has not been downloaded, streamed, activated or used in any way before then. If any of those things happen then your withdrawal right is lost."

That's great, however this was purchased on GMG and their User Agreement will be the one things are going off of I am sure.

GMG Terms: "If you change your mind about a Product at any time within 14 working days of delivery of the Product to you, you may cancel your Order and receive a full refund PROVIDED THAT you notify Us within that time and return the Product to GMGL in its original condition, unused and with its original packaging."

If I where you, I would redeem it and play it. I also have a pc below minimum requirements, however used Witcher 3 Hunter's Config to lower the graphics and it works just fine. So if you would like to play it and you don't mind not-so-pretty graphics here's the instruction.

Mh, people are getting more sublte. Yeah, sure make a giveaway, apparently there are people who would play it anyway. Wink wink.
Get a refund, simple as that. :)
Comment has been collapsed.
He couldn't make a giveaway for it since it's a GOG key, and not a Steam key.
And as he stated multiple times, he can't get a refund since he bought it on GMG and they don't allow refunds on keys.

The first part was a joke, but I didn't know about the second part. My bad.

Play the damn game and have fun without stupid DRM
Comment has been collapsed.
Except he didn't buy it on GOG. He bought in on Green Man Gaming and that's probably where he gets a good number of his Steam games as well.
Comment has been collapsed.
still works:-) i never done this myself as i allways read before buying but cancelling payment by bank should work before bank transfer money and according to my own bank infos usually the money closed for 2weeks and they just then transfer it.
Comment has been collapsed.
It will probably work, but he risks getting unable to purchase from a store that he rely on in the future. Is it really worth the risk of having GMG blocking your card or your account from any future purchase?
Comment has been collapsed.
Obvious you did not understand the OP
Who cares? So you want them to commit fraud just to get there money back and on top of that most likely never being able to order from GMG again, man what a waste to get the money back...
Though in your eyes no lossfor GOG because it not Steam anyhow, when will you divorce Steam i bet you will be married to them till the end...how sweet.
GOG does have some games you will not get on Steam and most the time the older games run better on it,without the need for stupid steam or DRM.
Also the fact that GOG does not force updates and allow you to roll back if you update goes to hell,i still do not see why Steam is so much better then GOG other then the games but eh
Either case it was bought on GMG so it would not effect GOG at all
Comment has been collapsed.
Redeem it. IMO GOG is better than Steam.
The only difference with buying the game for Steam instead of GOG is that you get the game in both platforms instead of buying it for GOG. That and GOG has some neat extra content like maps and videos that Steam doesnt.
Other than that is exactly the same game
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah trying to sell GOG for some reason is like trying to sell Origin keys
I do not get it as it is DRM Free and no forced updates, you can roll back, you can install it without internet, you can make a backup of it if you want, did i mention you do not internet to verify drm or install it on another pc.
All well all hail Steam and the gods...
I suppose the only thing left to say is the obvious next time do not get in a hurry and throw around your money so easy, ahhh hype makes you do funny things, that is why they hype games, they know it sells.
If i did not already have it i would get it from you but i already have GOG copy,i think the only way your going to get rid of and salvage some money out of it is to sell it below what you paid and then your best chance would be like tf2 keys and so on...
You can try Traders Guild ..
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/tradersguild
Always check what DRM or Service it may use before purchase,it did state it was GOG key,but still i understand how it feels to buy something you can not use...we all have been there
Good luck

I bought a UPLay key by mistake on Nuuvem. That's an even harder sell. It feels like my thread has bee sitting there forever without raising a single bit of interest.

I got over excited and bought witcher 3 for a group giveaway on here when I realized it's not Steam drm :(. Trading is taking forever even if i offer PayPal in addition to the gog key (and I'm impatient). Support won't refund or exchange. Any other ideas?
