Above. I have an expensive inventory.

If you idle non-vac protected games then probably you are safe. But i'm not 100% sure. But don't idle games that has VAC

Idle Master was discontinued also, better use ASF, with that you cannot get VAC in any way, like there is possibility with Idle Master or SAM.

But you better have a degree in Computer engineering or a lot of time to familiarize yourself with it.

It's simple to set up and use. It took me a while to get around to it, but once I started using ASF I realised people were making a big fuss about nothing.

I do intend to check it out again when I have more time and the FAQ has probably improved since then but the last time I checked the FAQ used lots of terms and abreviations which IMO are not common knowledge without explaining them and I was not in the mood to google 3 things in every sentence.

Just for one account I followed the setup guide, used the config generator and checked each term on the configuration page as I went. Left most things as default and disabled a couple. It's more a matter of time than anything else.

Well I do have an alt which started out as a key tester but I'm pretty positive I'll figure it out once I can put in the time. But if I make the switch it would be nice to use more advanced features like sending keys and automatically activating them on the alt or automatically accepting trade offers from my main as well. But I guess for starters I can mix and let ASF farm automatically and still send the farmed cards to my main twice a year before sales (or activate keys) manually until I understand those features better.

ASF is a virus. Don't support capitalist malware and spyware!

As far as I know no. CSGO uses VAC.

what's the point? I thought cards don't drop if you are running more than 1 game at a time?

If you ran more games, you get a delay of 15 minutes for game.
1 game => cards drop in 30 minutes
2 games => 2 cards drop every 45 minutes
3 games => 3 cards drop every hour
and so on

Card drops are random. They don't drop after a certain amount of minutes.

When I used idlemaster I experimented with this and it was correct.
Cards are random only if you idle them randomly (i idle for 20 minutes, then i stop, then i ran for 30 minutes and i get a card)

Nah.

For me it works, I did it with a lot of games.
The only time the cards drop randomly it's when internet goes off.
If you can provide me proof otherwise as "nah" I can accept them.

Proof is my whole library with farmed games. I even have games that took longer on one account than on another one.

Some games need longer because the devs put the time.
It's mostly 30 minutes, expecially the ones that go free.
Those are little exception of devs that put the cards drop after a lot of time, when it happens usually other users e-mail the dev to shorten the amount of time to drop cards.
Also internet cause the drop to be delayed, but if the internet it's always there, 30 minutes it's usually the amount of time it needs.
It's your internet always costant? I may seem bold, but greece has a low internet connection in medium, like here in italy, and it usually drops so it may disturb the cards dropping.
You can see that in the most recent played games of idler accounts, games with 3 cards are 1.5 hours and games with 4 cards are 2 hours.

Seems to be random really. I have gotten all cards when running nine games at a time in a few hours and have gotten nothing from leaving four overnight since it was staying on anyway.

You can also add games that are VAC protected to blacklist. List of them is easy to find.

Have done it a lot in the past but apparantly there is always a risk.

I accidentally played a few competitive games with it on a few weeks ago and nothing happened yet. I looked around and it seems like no one has been banned for having IM on.

Better don't risk, you drop less cards anyway if you are in game.

Idle master is safe in general, but there are some people that have claimed that they have been vac-banned while playing cs:go because they had been using idle master at that moment. So, there's a slight possibility that idle master may trigger a vac ban, but a big possibility that it will not. So, better avoid using idle master while playing in vac-protected servers.

True. Don't take the risk, just pause it while you play
