Was checking out which games use Unity, and it's quite extensive.... Cuphead, Ai War 1+2, Rimworld, Bridge Constructor... to name a few that stuck out to me.
Soo many games are about to get delisted soon after Cult of the Lamb. Rather sad, as there was already an imbalance between older games getting pulled due to maintenance eating too much into profit margins.
Now all these companies have a strong push to abandon soo many more games.
We really need some kind of way that a company drops its copyright on something, that they no loner are interested in supporting.
I'd be happy for tax money to go to support a public gaming archive where all these old mmo's and low profit games can retire, but still be enjoyed by the people.

I don't believe they'll be able to go after the previously released games that were made under a different TOS. Ofc, that might need to be defended in court and many smaller companies couldn't take on Unity, but Microsoft (Ori and the...) or Blizzard (Heartstone) might be more willing to say "no, come at me bro"... One precedent in the USA and they are done. EU would probably shut down extortion of this kind eve without a court.
