ISTJ, because I don't like standing in the center of the room and I don't like being stuck in large crowds... yup, I'm one shy mother effer!

Introvert and shyness are not related.
Shyness is social discomfort, while introvert is state of mind on particular matter.

I googled it since the word was too fancy for me, and I found this: introvert - a shy, reticent, and typically self-centered person.

Common definition =/= Psychological definition
Though your statement was certainly accurate by the common definition's standards.

INTP, introvert, logical, analytical etc http://www.personalitypathways.com/dom-ti.html

"They are less interested in running the world as they are in understanding it. They are curious and capable of explaining complex political, economic or technological problems, taking great pleasure in explaining all the factors and intricacies. They are rigorous with their thoughts and analysis, choosing the exact words that convey precisely what is meant. They may spend a lot of time defining words, concepts and systems in order to define a problematic solution."

Just spent hours yesterday talking east asian geopolitics so i guess its right enough :-)

I ended up with INTP also, or I assumed it, or INTJ but went for INTP

INTP here as well. A close friend of mine is often on the verge of killing me because of it, since apparently I always question everything and can't write an essay without feeling the need to rewrite it a dozen times at the very least.

'They are fiercely independent, seeking input and comments from a chosen few. They may tend to neglect social requirements and responsibilities, finding many relationships to be too superficial to be of much interest.'

Well that's a nice way of saying that I'm impossibly asocial. sighs >_>

The only one that stays the same is the I, anything else is close to 50-50 and really depends on the day what I'll end up as. XD So I can say with safety I'm an introvert... That's it.

Tests on websites are sometimes wrong and they'll mistype you. The right way to type yourself would be to read and understand the 8 cognitive functions, it's not just about those 4 letters :)

INTP - The "Engineer"

INTPs are logical, individualistic, reserved, and very curious individuals. They focus on ideas, theories and the explanation of how things work. They are especially adept at discussions and debate. They have the ability to focus intently on a subject. They appreciate and respect intelligence in others.

Expert Quotes

"INTPs are relatively easy-going and amenable to most anything until their principles are violated, about which they may become outspoken and inflexible. They prefer to return, however, to a reserved albeit benign ambiance, not wishing to make spectacles of themselves."

"The INTP is above all a thinker and his inner (private) world is a place governed by a strong sense of logical structure. Every experience is to be rigorously analysed, the task of the INTP's mind is to fit each encountered idea or experience into a larger structure defined by logic."

"INTPs live in the world of theoretical possibilities. They see everything in terms of how it could be improved, or what it could be turned into. They live primarily inside their own minds, having the ability to analyze difficult problems, identify patterns, and come up with logical explanations. They seek clarity in everything, and are therefore driven to build knowledge. They are the "absent-minded professors", who highly value intelligence and the ability to apply logic to theories to find solutions."

"The Architects' distant goal is always to rearrange the environment somehow, to shape, to construct, to devise, whether it be buildings, institutions, enterprises, or theories. They look upon the world -- natural and civil -- as little more than raw material to be reshaped according to their design..."

"INTPs contribute a logical, system-building approach to their work. They like being the architect of a plan, because of the scheming and thinking involved, far more than being the implementer of that plan. Implementation tends to be drudgery. They are content to sit back and think about what might work, given their view of the situation. INTPs may ignore standard operating procedures. The hours that they spend are not what is important to them, but rather the completion of their thought process"

"likes solitude, not revealing, unemotional, rule breaker, avoidant, familiar with the darkside, skeptical, acts without consulting others"
