What causes Black people to underperform?

Don't be. The reason why I'm studying this topic is because I've discovered that America is not the color-blind paradise, as I have been led to believe, but instead is rampant with things like affirmative action, "White privilege", "disparate impact", and various other junk ideas. I just hope that someone has discovered the cause of all this, and thus the fix for the problem.

There is no one simple 'cause'. there are a multiude of different variables like location, wealth, culture and other social stimulus, etc that can affect how someone turns out in their life.
Its not just a choice between 'Blacks are dumb', 'Whites are racist' or just 'other', it's kind of odd you would only have 3 options cosndering how in depth you went into it in your blog post

I'm a fan of social sciences from Asia. One thing which I have found especially puzzling is the consistent underachievement of Blacks in the West. Year after year, studies have found that, amongst the racial groups, Blacks in the West tend to perform the worst, whether on SAT, IQ, PISA, and various other tests; while Ashkenazi Jews and Northeast Asians tend to perform the best. Blacks also tend to have the highest per-capita crime rates, lowest income, and lowest educational achievement. I've done some research online, and from what I can tell, this must be all due to culture.
However, my conclusions have come under attack. What do you guys think? Is Black underachievement really the result of genetics, as my detractors claim; or is it due to some other factors, as I believe?
