I'm really into horror films, so those will comprise most of my suggestions. I'd say Cabin in the Woods was excellent if you're looking for something more modern, V/H/S or the original Evil Dead if you're looking for something fun and scary, or the original Nightmare on Elm Street for a good classic. Non-horror, I'd say the 1951 Alice in Wonderland is my favorite, Fantastic Mr Fox is great (or any Wes Anderson film tbh), Edward Scissorhands, Zombieland, both of the new Star Treks, etc.
