Anyone around here playing Age Of Empires II HD Edition?

I agree, I tried to play some games online with a friend, it kept randomly kicking one of us for no conceivable reason, I thought maybe it was my internet as the place I was living in at the time didn't have the best net, but it was just ridiculous. A bit of a shame considering multiplayer is one of the biggest drawcards.

I don't own AoE2 HD, but it's a bit of a shame there's no longer anymore LAN support.

When I played it, it wasn't all that fun, because I suck at the multi-player. Other than that, playing online has been fine for me, and to be honest, I didn't notice any lags. The game plays smooth. The achievements are a bit bugged, but nothing very important.

Yeah,i was a little bit dissapointed.I think they only did it to make some money because Age of Empires it's a popular game and they knew alot of people will buy it.I also have problems with the connection,lag,etc,etc,and i did find some bugs in it.Honestly i had it unintalled and i don't know if there where any patches recently,but i doubt it.

I have it.

• Even though there are plenty of game servers Mp sucks and it lags like hell.
• Achievements are bugged majorly, it just popped 3 achievements for completing Attila the Hun campaign just because i clicked it..the hell?
• Only best thing is you can re-live your memory with modern day PC.

Seems like my decision to not trade for this game is right afterall
Is it also that buggy even in recent patch?

I prefer to just run the original on my modern computer. There are ways to get it working. If there are colouration issues with the game (this same fix works for Diablo II, actually), go back to your desktop, hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete (or Ctrl-Shift-Esc as I prefer), go to your processes, and exit out of explorer.exe. That shuts down the stuff like the taskbar and some of the rest of the OS's internal organs. Then you can play the game just fine. To get it back, go back to Ctrl-Alt-Delete, go to the applications tab, and click on "New Task..." Then type in explorer.exe and hit enter, and your computer will be normal again.

I own and play the new AoE II not-HD. I play multiplayer often and don't struggle with lag problems during MP, but I always play MP against people from my own country. not sure if it can make such a big difference?
