+1, but only about the shorter sales, winter+summer sale bad since no flash deals and because of the longterm sale period the discounts worse than during a midweek madness/weekend sale or at specific developer weekends.

Yeah, but cards aren't worth much anymore. Did it really make a difference last winter?
I used to get a few bucks off selling those event cards before. I'm not even sure I would get 1$ now.

Well I would like if they do both. Rewards for spending money and something like their traditional events.

Don't think they will do that anymore. Too many people with multi-accounts and bot accounts misusing the system

I like the extra discount more. Cards usually don't have that much value and their values decreased a lot because of the millions of bot accounts.
And I guess that is the very same reason event items cant be changed to gems anymore and no free cards during sales.

This year, to qualify for a 5 USD discount, you have to buy an AAA game on pre-order, three AAA games released in the last 3 months and play all of them with 100% achievements, while standing on your roof.
You also need to spam as many of your friends as possible every day to get an extra 1% discount and a badge of a can of spam.

To be fair, a 'respectable price' is relative and the discounts have become substantially less over the years.

It's an end of autumn sale followed by a start of winter sale.
