I've noticed when a game will be on steam it says Coming to Steam and Consoles but for epic exclusives they'll say Coming to PC and Consoles

That doesn't bother me. They remade the game. Actually 2 games at that and it is not a simple remaster. They took time, effort, and money to remake this for everyone. Plus I loved these games when they originally came out. I've been wanting a fun skateboarding game again and the only other things out right now are Skate XL and Session which both look pretty good but don't really fully have what I am looking for yet. I also make pretty good money so $50 isn't that much for something I will put a lot of time into.

It's really weird seeing activation and epic working together even tho activation has its own launcher!!
Well, I'm not the biggest fan of skating games but I was hoping to relive some nostalgia... but on the other side, I can wait for this 6~12 months deal to end and get the game 50% off or so when it hit steam like every ex-exclusive game we had so far.

Yup, they went the "good old" Epic exclusive route. That alone is a reason to stay away as far as I am concerned.

I'm wondering if it is based on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2X. That release was a combined version, removed some secrets, but added new levels.

Same devs like Crash / Spyro. So it's a 1:1 remake, with new things.

Oh, I'm sure it is starting over with a different engine than HD, but same sort of idea they had back then.
And interested in knowing if that later content will make it. 2X was US exclusive, so never got the new levels here. I loved the series, even enjoyed playing the PSP game for the exclusive levels that one had. :)

I loved the series as well. American Wasteland was my WOW of 2006 to the end of the servers. :D

Never did play them online, got a PS2 Network Adapter years later, used it to play games off the hard drive. :P

The only one I ever owned on PC was 3, but I own that on PS2 as well. Never even installed it. Console was great for split screen, which I could do.

Yeah. Pro Skater HD was ass. It takes talent to botch controls and physics that badly. Especially when the original games were good examples of how to get that right.
Of course, the devs behind that one then proceeded to outdo themselves with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5. And by that I mean: They broke everything else in the game as well.

I only played 5 on the PS3, and it was actually decent. Physics weren't broken at least. Never got to play the PS4 version though.
