Are gmg keys region locked? can they be activated in a south america region?

GMG is mostly selling keys authorized, so you will get keys for your own region. (So you need to take care only when buying gifts)

what if someone from south america got a key bought by a european user? Can it be activated by him?

this depends on the game. Some can be activated, some not, as far as I know

thanks, I made a giveaway with a gmg key, and the winner is from South america, and hasn't activated it yet and has been online a couple of times, so I'm a bit panicked

This game is region locked as far as I know. If you check steamdb ( https://steamdb.info/sub/85105/info/ ) it says "Cross region trading and gifting is disabled for this item." if you click on informations

That doesn't mean it's region locked. You need to search for country list. The game is locked only in china.

Yeah, I know this Version, too. But I always thought that this "Cross region trading and gifting is disabled for this item" thing means more or less the same xD

I think that applies only for ateam gifts, not keys.

I would wait a bit before starting to worry. Some people just take long to activate. My recent lvl 1 public giveaways keys both took more than a day.

GMG are pretty bad at mentioning when their keys are region locked - but it is mostly Bethesda and a few other big publishers that insist on it. Most indie games are region free, and as far as I know Lifeless is fine.
