Chicken Biryani?
I agree with you. Fresh seafood and especially fish, is always better. But fresh shrimp is hard to come by (and very expensive) unless you live in a warm coastal area - so it's rare. I use frozen shrimp and it works just fine - just don't let it get warm after you defrost and peel it and add the marinade. (I never used cooked shrimp its tough and tasteless) I should tell you that I don't use a pressure cooker for the rice - I wouldn't even know how to make that work right with the basmati that I like to use. I just cook it in a pot like I would any other tempered rice and then add it to the shrimp pan afterwards per recipe.
