They gave away all the DLC on Origin years ago, too. When they stopped their odd microtransaction model for selling DLCs. Don't think that included the Prima guides though.

I don't have the Awakening DLC but still received the game. Does that mean I received the DLC for free or is this just a renamed version?

Dragon Age Origin base game (the one that have trading cards) was delisted some months ago. Is great that EA is give for free the Ultimate Edition that have several dlc, like Leliana Song and Witch Hunt, those were not available to buy by separated on steam (only within the Ultimate Edition).

If you own it on Origin as well the Dragon Age Origins bundle is free to download when you go to extra content.

Wow, so many times I was close to buying it, because I only had the base game and there was no upgrade path other than buying everything again. I'm so glad I didn't!

I had only the base game. The website says Ultimate Edition is now in my library, but didn't remove it from my wishlist.

In the Steam client, the Ultimate Edition didn't show up as an option until I pressed the "Play Now" button on the website store page.

I have the Ultimate Edition but not getting the original, so it doesn't work both ways.

This also happened in Origin with Dragon Age 2, got the Ultimate Edition

Will I now get a free copy of Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition if I purchase and activate a Dragon Age: Origins key?

No luck. I didn't buy Dragon Age and Dragon Age 2 at 90% off because I couldn't buy the other DLCs.
Now the full versions are more expensive.
I'll wait for an 85% off sale to buy.

I wish they also did it the other way around. Add DA:O to the owners of the UE
