What was the first online game you ever played?

Everquest- chocolate. I still remember the pain.

Edit: Looks like I forgot about Starcraft and Diablo. Guess that makes me officially senile.

First online game? Neopets and runescape.

I found both at about the same time, can't remember which was first. I still play them on and off occasionally for the nostalgia and general game.

I miss my childhood.

I've never played a game online...not sure that's a good indication of my age.

I'm not sure but maybe was age of empires II and a FPS named WarRock (the old one).

Definitely a MUD. I'm not sure if it was the first one I played, but The Final Challenge was the first one I stayed on for any length of time.

Quake 2

Team fortress classic, back when pyro was useless and it was a grenades game more than anything... avanti best map ever.

I think it was modern warfare 2. I got high speed internet around '09, so that sounds like the right time

I think Moshi Monsters or Toon town.

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch

Flash-based MMO's in my browser. AdventureQuest Worlds and Habbo Hotel were the most prevalent ones throughout my childhood.

Halo 2

I've never played an online game, Yes, I'm that old.

Probably some small game on Miniclip. Or going back even further maybe some random backgammon or darts on some random site.
The first major game I played online (for quite a while) was probably RuneScape though.

Half-Life 1 multiplayer. Discovered the Counter-Strike Beta 4.0 shortly after and sunk many hours in that game. The time when a few 100MBs took a day to download :D
