Metro Last Light 60% off!

For anyone who doesn't check Steam every day, this is the "midweek madness" deal.

Lucky folks in the US can pick it up for $19.99, while Aussies and New Zealanders get inexplicably boned for an additional eight dollars, paying $27.99.

I have a bit of cash in my Steam wallet, and would have bought it for $19.99 in a heartbeat, but they can stick their regional price gouging policy where the Last Light doesn't shine :(

Its a card with a key that you enter in Steam to add pre set amounts to your wallet. Us Kiwis don't get them, but I know the US and parts of Europe have them.

Most general stores don't have them. Try Best Buy or GameStop. You'll probably find one there

i dunno, i saw one that carried it before but this one had a bunch of other crap like facebook, runescape, various other kiddy website games that sucks money out of parent's wallets.

I get mine at CVS or Walgreens. Walmarts are hit and miss with them. None of the 2 local to me ever have had them, but my cousin in FL gets them at his down there.

It's one of those rare time I'd consider buying it from a Russian trader, but even then I wouldn't have enough wallet. Screw this latest lack of games with cards.

In all honesty I wouldn't mind paying $20 for it, but aside from not having enough in my Steam wallet, another $8 just sucks. While it's common knowledge that New Zealand is probably the most affluent nation in the world, and we all drive around on tractors with diamond encrusted hub-caps (I know I do), the price hike still seems unreasonable harsh.

I just made the same trade (possibly with the same person!) and the exact name is "Metro: Last Light" with the acquisition method being "Gift/Guest Pass".

Yeah that's strange.
I just tested it with Russian Steam store and it added a neutral version to my cart too.

No clue then, what the region locked CIS version is for.

It's very atmospheric, though not as diverse as Metro 2033. It's also not as hardcore on ammo and filters as 2033 was. Still an awesome game though.

The irony is, if it had been priced the same as the US store, I'd have bought it instantly, and never considered trying to obtain it (via Steamtrades) from another region. Their fucked up NZ pricing has cost them US$10.

Hmm gonna wait for it to go even lower.My backlog is huge as it is.Won't spend 19.99 just for the game to rot in my library since I am not interested in playing it any time soon.Still didn't play Metro 2033.
