Promotion

You'll need to add a mobile phone number to confirm the account the first time you use the site.

It works if you have a different currency, Steam just converts the $10 dollars to whatever your currency is.

It sounds kind of sketchy but they're legit, couple of threads on reddit about pcgamesupply: 1 and 2

I've used the site to purchase 7 US PSN cards at 30% off and 2 at 20%, as they've lowered their discount the last few times.

Edit: I think promotion might end before the time as they tend to have a limited amount on offer.
Edit 2: Promotion is limited to 1 card.

It's not. I've used it several times to purchase PSN credit that they also put on discount occasionally.

right, that doesnt make it legit in any way though.

It doesn't, but the point is I've been using it for a while and haven't had any weird charges or problems with my card or phone number. Also the deals have been posted on several gaming websites and haven't seen anyone get scammed yet.

thats not the point at all. they dont officially distribute, therefore not legit. therefore not worth it.

I've seen some developers complain against GreenManGaming, but haven't seen complaints against pcgamesupply, so where are you getting the info that they're not getting the cards officially?

You mean authorized? As legit in the context you're using makes the site as a whole is shady when you say it's not legit. If you were to say not authorized that would imply they do not have official permission to sell keys but does not mean they are not legit sellers just not authorized.

In the end, I'm not trying to debate if this res-seller is safe even if it's not authorized I'm just saying just because it's not authorized also does not mean they are not "legit"

To be honest this whole false propaganda about any site that is not authorized is somehow involved in illegal activity or the like gets a bit old.All big retailers sell un-authorized stuff but I don't see anyone boycotting them. This does not mean all are safe but surely does not imply everyone is doing illegal things and selling illegal goods.

To be honest this whole false propaganda about any site that is not authorized is somehow involved in illegal activity or the like gets a bit old.

Especially because in civilised countries, it's commonly illegal to forbid/prevent a company (reseller) from selling your product.

Well, I understand when it comes to key selling if you want the least risk to buy direct or from ones who are official re-sellers.Though to say a site is not legit just because they are not authorized is like saying Amazon is also not legit because not every product they sell is authorized by the manufacturer for them to sell.

It's one thing to warn people but another to try to make a site seem un-safe just based off not being authorized IMO it's false propaganda.I'm just saying if you're going to tell people not to trust them to give valid reasons other then the obvious they aren't authorized like links to reports of stolen keys or otherwise illegal activity nothing is illegal about not being authorized. At least as long as it's not violating copyrights like selling knock-offs or selling said games as your own.

Guess they'll just sell your number to absurd number of advertisers to let them spam sh*t out of you.

They use the phone because they limit the promotion to 1 card. So the phone is to avoid people creating multiple accounts and purchasing several cards.

That depends on terms of this giveaway, which I'm not aware of. If they strictly said that collected data won't be shared with third parties then it could be the only reason. Otherwise they'll sell them.

Not sure, actually normally during this kinds of sales they don't accept PayPal, so it's weird that this time they only accept PayPal, or at least it's the only option I could find this time.

I try use paypal balance.

It did charged me, but waiting for approval for a while.
When i check my order, they ask me to verify account (by phone).
After i verify my account, they approve my order and viola I got the code

Is it a fixed fee or is it due to converting the currency?

When I first got to the paypal page it was showing up as 145 pesos but when I clicked on the currency options I was given the option to pay in dollars and have the bank handle the conversion, after I did that I was charged 133.05 pesos. So if I had used paypal conversion I would've ended up paying around $0.6 dollars more.

It's due to converting I guess, every time's different.

There could be fees for your credit card (usually avoided by putting money on PayPal beforehand) or indeed for conversion. What currency did you have selected on the website?

United States USD

If those are Argentine Peso, that's a whole 8% fees. If it's Mexican ones, you made a profit during currency conversion?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's Mexican pesos, it does seem I was charged a few cents less, according to Google $6.99 dollars equals 133.69, but could just be the conversion at the time.
