This is probably intended. The New Super Lucky's Tale bundle says I don't own anything and it would cost $2.99 and when I add it to cart it says I own everything and I get nothing but still costs $2.99. So like, free cash/donation to the dev as a participation award or what is this lmao?

Steam has been lazy they're going to lose to epic games. Gaben got too comfortable buying a $500 million yacht instead of focusing on the platform.

Any recommendation for the incremental games this sale? I'm just starting to explore the genre.

It’s cheaper to buy the Togges + Gunk bundle at $1 rather than Gunk by itself. Steam nicely tells you this too :)

Well, discounts are less impressive since some years, now sales are more like "a moment when everything is on sale at the same time so that you can choose what you need slightly discounted"

The sale is just a normal sale, it's not the huge discounts we used to have a couple years back so it feels like a normal day as well. add the fact we don't even have flash deals so you just look at a sale one time and you don't have to look at it ever again...

Nowadays, I would argue that a random tuesday can have a better deal for you than a major sale :D

Lackluster games. Low "discounts" that are just meant to make you pay premium for a shit ton of DLC. No cards to collect and trade. No badge.
Hard to see any reason to get excited about this anymore.

In my region, it seems that It is less expensive to get this bundle than D:OS2 by itself? And, no, it is not a "complete the set" effect, as far as I can tell.

That wasn't it but nice twist of my words. To correct you, I just said if the rest of the games from 2019 dropped their msrp and so could've bandai, but they were petty. What bandai did is equivalent to devs raising their steam price right before the winter sale for instance. It's their right, just a crappy thing to do.

I think AC Valhalla Complete is slightly cheaper than just buying the game and DLC separately in most regions.

picked it up for free - a foil card dropped and some people will pay big (relative) money for them :)

I would recommend Hot Pursuit Remastered. It's my favorite after MW and U2

And for hack'n'slash will recommended Grim Dawn, both for gameplay + nice but simple story.

Yeah I wonder how sales will go this year for those devs tbh I assume they're going to be worse. There's 42 games at 5000+ reviews rated 90% or above 90% discounts. At 80%+ rating there's 129 games at 90% discount. Or maybe people just have that much to spend despite the economy? Like with the rise in price of computer prices, consoles, etc. will people still be buying new games like they did before?

If you add that to all the bundled and free games that epic is giving lets say like Hogwarts Legacy which is around 30 hours for just the main story, you basically have infinite gaming. I wonder if valve is gonna start discontinuing a bunch of these games once their profits don't return what's expected, or these games wont be able to be bundled as steam wont give them keys for not making x sales.

I think the only reason to buy games for $20 at 20% discount when there's hundreds for $2 at 90% is that you really want it. Likely many of these games will be fully discontinued by the time some even care to give them a try and they'll be in abandonware at that point.

Feels like big AAA studios want to protect and add value to their brand by not lowering prices with the indie game publishers constantly raising their prices as if they produce AAA titles trying to capitalize more. Will this last or will the market become oversaturated af and crash?
