steam annoying me

how to delete this shit ? is there some option on steam to turn it off ?
cuz there are a lot of non steam games which minimize when this shit appears

Last time I checked, yes, there was no way to disable event notifications.
I usually leave any group who makes an extensive use of this feature : most of the time, it's not a useful reminder of an interesting event, but a spammy way to advertise raffles, follow my twitter for 1 chance on 15000 to win something, and so on. I never missed any of these groups afterwards :)

yep, also they should block all those notifications when you set your status to "busy"

When you have a mmo(rpg) running and you need to use a potion, but then a notification hovers over it and you can't, and you get killed. -_-
Or whenever there is a new free giveaway every group tends to post it which leads to spam.

I had something similar just last night when I was playing a game ... I had to click something in the lower right corner, and got spammed by a bunch of "CSGO SKIN GIVEAWAY! $100 Value!" notifications for a couple of minutes, and couldn't click what I needed to click.
