Final Fantasy Type-0 on Steam [UPD: Now available for Pre-purchase]

Gonna get it a little later today. I'd prefer to pay less but we need Squeenix to finally start recognizing the PC platform and I'm gonna let my money talk. At least I I don't quite have to fork out full price.

Interesting. I do want it eventually and like getting exclusive stuff but probably won't play it for a while and don't play dota2. Decisions!

Maybe I'll wait to see if I can get the pre-purchase 20%+ off at GMG.

I wouldn't be surprised if it goes that cheap or cheaper. The FFXIV expansion had a 25% off pre-order offer on GMG, and they don't like to discount XIV stuff at all. Even if it doesn't get featured, it should be eligible for a voucher.

Exactly my thought. Been getting pre-orders for 20% or more off, like Mighty No. 9. Hard to argue a sale like that before the game's even released... unless it's extra-terrible. I guess now that Steam has a refund policy it's safer to buy on Steam but I'm not too worried.

Pre-purchasing from GMG has a lot more downsides than buying from Steam itself though.
Sure, you get it a little cheaper from GMG. But most of the time you have to wait hours, sometimes days, before you get your key from them. This means no pre-loading. Getting the game right on purchase and the ability to pre-load is worth the "extra" cost in my opinion.

I've pre-ordered a couple games from them now and haven't had that problem yet. Were that to happen though, I wouldn't mind waiting a few days to get an extra 10-15% off I guess. If I had nothing to play it might be different :)

I would have liked it if the PC version kept the multiplayer from the original, but it plays a lot like Crisis Core with fresh mechanics on the side, and that's a good thing. I'll probably grab it if I can justify spending the money by then.

Oh, yeah, of course! It's amazing. I emulated it a bit on PPSSPP and thought it was amazing, but had weird emulation glitches, so I had to shelve it.

Not really anymore. The later games aren't exclusive, and the contracts for exclusivity may be up. I believe some of the earlier games had Gamecube versions too (forget which) and I want to say the collections are more cross platform.

Yeah, there are a lot of different loading screens in DOTA 2. It's one of the items that you can equip (and there is a shuffle function in the game, so you'll see a random loading screen every time you play). Loading screens is not something that you buy individually, it's usually just something that you get with other items (buy an item set and get a loading screen depicting that character with the item set on, or some concept art or something).
