Sorry I don't have any suggestions. Everyone I know plays Minecraft.

Castle Crashers is a fun co-op multiplayer. Even more fun if you have gamepads, but whatever works

I was gonna say Castle Crashers, but since Incog said that already, I would have to go with Torchlight 2. It's somewhat expensive, but it's a awesome game. Good for playing with friends.

If you can get into the MOBA game type you can all try League of Legends or Smite. Both are good games and free to try. If not something like You Don't Know Jack is great. I have it on console, not sure how it works on PC but it exists.

There is also a plethora of free to play MMOs on steam that may be good. Even if the game isn't great, anything is better with a friend or two.

what about "Path of Exile" i think its a fun game to make a party, i always go solo becouse i don't like to look for a team, but it's fun, and i believe it's even more with a team
