Indeed. Had some trouble actually getting it started but I spend some hours and it's a decent game so far. Unfortunately a little bit too controller centric for my taste but that is expected. I should probably try to finish Origins before I take the plunge on this one though so they didn't quite get me, this time :P
Edit: They got me after all. Figured I've had some store credit at Humble for what feels like ages and the extra 20% discount brought it down to a tolerable level even though it seems ridiculously overpriced for the complete game.

I'm so jaded on this topic that I honestly can't say if this is good or not without further investigation. I was amazed going from dialup to this though, but that was at least 15+ years ago
That said, I also realize that it is one of the "perks" in my life

I can get fibre broadband for approx £20 a month from one of 3 different providers in my block ,just need a bank account or rather enough ID to open one.

My parents got an internet connection for their summer cottage last year. Somewhere around 1Gbps iirc. With those kinds of speeds, the download would take about 10 minutes if Ubisofts servers could keep up.
Edit: I pulled the trigger and got the game on Humble as I've had some store credit there since what feels like forever. There was actually quite a bit of extra content not included in the trial so having at least decent speed internet comes in handy at times.

You are aware that most Ubisoft games (including this one) require Uplay even when bought on Steam, so you'll effectively end up with double DRM? So there really wouldn't be any advantage in having it for Steam.

Yeah that is why I actually don't like getting uplay games on steam, might as well get them on uplay and with the credits you can get it sometimes cheaper then steam and they sometimes have different sales them steam.
I heard though on the EGS (epic game store) when you buy a uplay game on there you link it to your account, but then you no longer need EGS to play it, that isn't the case with steam tho.
