Question about GOTYs editions.

If I have original game, but don't have DLC and I can't buy them (Arkham City for example) can I buy GOTY edition and activate it on my account to get DLCs?

Usually yes, but you won't get another copy of the game as a spare, it disappears.

i don't need extra game, just wanna DLC. So it's can be activated on account if I'm already have this game but not GOTY?

yes, I asked about it Steam Support, they said yes, dlcs will be activated without extra copy of game, though I asked about Fallout New Vegas I think it will work here as well.

Yes you can, in worst case scenario you will have to contact support but I think that's very unlikely.

DLC for Arkham City unavailable here. I can buy only GOTY. And Saints Row GOTY cost 400 roubles (about $13). If just buy all DLC it's 745 roubles (about $25)
