Your account has catched the bad corona. It may recover. It may not.

Giveaway value can go down over time if a game goes to a bundle and if you gave away something that went free, it zeroes out in your total from the date that it went free. You can mouse over the 'giveaway value' to see what you've actually 'contributed' to the site.

I lost a level some time ago as well :(

all i gave away is some conquer covid-19 bundle and humble choice leftovers from humble bundle

Yea, that'll do it. Sometime 'new to bundle' stuff can be retroactively reduced from the start point.

I assume it's to prevent people from getting 'easy level 10s' from loading up on dollar bundles and giving them away later for full value.

when you added giveaways these games had full value, and now they have reduced:

  • Turok 2: Seeds of Evil
  • The Bard's Tale IV: Director's Cut
  • Truberbrook / Trüberbrook
  • ... and more I'm too lazy to check them all

For reference compare: this and this

If you gave away a game before it went free you get CV. It wont be 0 because game went free. If your game got full CV it may reduce it in rate drop at store.

This was always bullshit. It shouldn't be retroactive.

It's retroactive only to the point of the start of the bundle (ignoring the rare instances where a staff member randomly adds a day or two to the start date, which may be a circumstance more open to discussion), which is a pretty darn necessary step for supporting the entire concept.

That is to say, you could argue you don't favor the bundle list in general, but if it fails to be retroactive then you get a sharp rift between those who intentionally exploit early and those who don't exploit, post later, and get worse benefits. Frankly, it'd probably be the worst possible arrangement they could have for the matter, as it'd actually emphasize the very exploitation the system is intended to curb.

While those new to the site do get caught in unexpected circumstnaces, after that initial confusion everyone either becomes familiar enough with the underlying concepts, or learns to simply to ask those who are, to get insight whether or not the game'll retroactively count as bundled in the future. Is it a bit of a bother? Sure, but no more than figuring out any random system you'd run into in a video game (in fact, this is more straightforward than most of those).

All of the games you've given away either give partial CV or none at all. Recently bundled or given away for free games are not immediately reduced in value, and giveaway value is retroactively reduced based on the date of the bundle or mass giveaway.

Your cv is $38.23 so you are lvl 2, you shouldn't have been lvl 4 in the first place. sorry if this is bad english but I'm not sure how to say that

You're probably facing the "retroactive" term of this page. Bundled games can be bundled by any time for any reason.
There's no rule for that. Once bundled, you'll receive the corresponding CV for bundled titles.

How did you unlock all of Hollow Knight's achievements at once?
Please share your secret!
Only joking, I already know. But why use SAM?

I know, I was being sarcastic. I edited my post while you were writing yours.
And he's done that with all the games that have achievements...

Considering the 0h playtime they have for all their games, them playing offline is indeed the explanation.

Honestly for me the first question would have been why he has a steam account when he's never even played a single game but I guess... to each their own. It's just something I don't understand tho.
Don't mind me, I was just being oblivious.
had a winner like that recently... it's rather frustrating

From having another look, I think he has played some of the games. In the Steam privacy settings, there's an option that reads "Always keep my total playtime private even if users can see my game details." I guess he ticked it and that's why the playtime doesn't show.
Besides, it seems (for some games, at least) he unlocked some of the achievements the regular way and just used SAM for those he couldn't get.

Lol, they’re called achievements because you played the game and earned them. You just look like a douche if you didn’t actually unlock them by playing the game.

I'm just explaining why it is silly to unlock things you didn't work for. It makes the achievement status on your profile page a big fat lie.

To explain it simply, when a game is highly discounted, steamgifts will give you reduced CV which is 15% of the full retail value. Steamgifts is not always updated right away. You created giveaways for games you got in a bundle and you should have received 15% CV for them, but since you gave them away before steamgifts updated the CV for those games, you were temporarily getting full CV until they corrected the value of the games down to the correct 15% CV. Everyone that created a giveaways before that bundle was available will receive full CV and everyone that created a giveaway after will receive 15% because of the massive discount.

You should have always been level 2 after those giveaways, but got a temporary boost to level 4 because of the delay in steamgifts updating game values. If you entered any level 3 or 4 giveaways in that time, I'm pretty sure you will still be entered and your entry will still count.
