The rule is in place to protect people like you as well.
What if the other guy decided to come here and foul up your reputation without cause? You'd be blacklisted by 100's before you could even reply. The no calling out rule is to prevent witch-hunts and false accusations.

In fairness, anyone that'd blacklist on something so vague from someone they don't have any familiarity with, is unlikely to be worth much consideration to begin with :P

You help others by reporting to Steam and SteamRep, so that people who are more familiar with trading can properly recognize the individual as a scammer.
Blindly posting their profile and doing a he-said-she-said to a crowd that primarily is aware of careful trading practices already, isn't going to accomplish anything even if it wasn't a prohibited action on this site to begin with.

Treat this thread as a place to learn how to properly handle yourself in trades in the future, because it's not going to accomplish anything as a warning thread.
Unless he has an actual SteamGifts account, it's not remotely relevant to us, and if they did have an SG account, you'd do the proper thing and report them to SG staff, instead.
Put another way- no matter who the individual is, anyone familiar with how to vet traders wouldn't trade with a suspicious individual anyway.
Knowing the process is what's important, as are feedback sites.
With that in mind, don't trade with anyone that doesn't have SteamGifts or Barter.vg feedback, check that they're not an impersonator, and check SteamRep.
Do all that, and you're reasonably safe, the vast majority of the time.
Ergo, telling us about someone we wouldn't have traded with to begin with, is useless for any purpose other than you venting over it, which you can do without linking a profile and getting yourself in trouble over it.

hello this guy scammed me today. asked for a farcry primal code to give me division. i bought it for him he got it and dissapeared.
he already changed 4 nicks today. he uses other's people names/photo and link to their steam trade profile .
he already have done it to many people. also the +reps on his steam profile are fake.
thats the steamrep link only way to follow him(he changes nick all the time)
