As someone who really loves spicy food (and even collects (( at least tries to )) everything spicy, from sauces to powders) i'm curious are there more 'spiceheads' here on SG ? Just opened and brand new bottle of Encona West Indian sauce and got inspired :>

Yes,very much!
Yes,though moderately spicy and not too often
No

I miss (hot) spices because for the moment they are off limits to me due to some stomach issues.

Yes, but it's not about the heat, it's the flavour. Some food is just hot for the sake of it with no taste.

completely agree:) Every type of pepper has it's distinctive taste. I could already say this one had Habanero after tasting it without reading the label.

I came here to say precisely what @combatbeard said.
If something is made spicy only for the heat, I immediately assume that the base tastes awful or some ingredient was off to be begin with.

Yes! Spice is life.

When it comes to sauces, Tabasco is my go-to, but I always try to go for the artisan stuff whenever I can." Voodoo Prince Death Mamba" was my latest sample bottle, had a really nice flavor, but due to it being a blend of the 5 hottest peppers by SHU, the spice was off the charts in large quantities. Still really good stuff though.

yes but only mildly without exceeding. a little bit of chili pepper or black pepper match perfectly with certain food.

i am a collector of spices in general, but not necessarily spicy. garlic, black/white/pink pepper, curry, ginger, rosemary, laurel, cinnamon, nutmeg, parsley, turmeric, in powder or flakes. i love them all.

i like it up to the level where the spiciness overwhelms the rest of the flavor. indian curry is my favorite kind of spicy.

I like spicy food, but not so much as "everything needs to have a bit of chili", or "a meal without chili is an incomplete meal", but more of "this dish is spicy by the default recipe".

I love spicy food so much I'm growing my own peppers. Managed to get a few jalapenos last year but I'm gonna try a new way and hopefully get more. :P

I like chili peppers a lot. This year I had a cayenne pepper plant in a vase in the terrace, harvested the fruits about two months ago, dried them, minced and put them in a grinder I bought. I usually grind some on my pasta, pizza or soup.
Strange thing, the plant kept bearing fruits and now it's full of green peppers again. I tried eating one of these, it was quite spicy, but they are clearly not mature, and I doubt they'll go any further. I'll have to think about some way to eat them.
I really like spicy food, I don't have any problems with digestion, so I like eating something hot from time to time. But I see no point in burning your mouth and tongue, like some people you see sometimes.

I really enjoy eating spicy food. Last time I checked, I had 30 hot spices and sauces in the kitchen.
This is what my favorite chips look like. One of my friends had to visit the sickbay, because of a dare that he couldn't eat a whole bag (125g) within a single day.

Spicy food is only good when it burns 3 times, not 2.

Never happened to you going for 1 to toilet after eating some ultra spicy sauce to discover that your "tip" feels burning from capsaicin?

The sign on your spicy sauce bottle is pointing the wrong way for "West Indian".
But yes, spice is good.

When I go to Whataburger, I get jalapeños on my burger. One time, they forgot them, and when I mentioned it, they gave me a little plastic cup, like what Taco Bell puts their nacho cheese in. That was about 4-6 times as many jalapeños as I would have gotten had they put them on the burger to begin with, but I ate almost all of them. My sinuses hated me, but I loved it. XD

I don't like the kind of spiciness that lingers and burns for minutes on end, though. I like the quick burn that's gone before it outstays its welcome. Which is why it's a mystery to me as to why I can't resist daring myself to eat a chile pequin off the bush every time I see one. (For reference, they're about a dozen times hotter than a jalapeño and I rarely have access to water when I eat one, not that it would help because it's that kind of hot. Yeah. T_T)
