Neither. The last good CoD game was MW1, in my honest opinion.

But I have heard a lot of complaints about MW3, so to answer your question properly I'd say MW2.

No love for WaW? Easily my favorite. It had everything, SP, MP, full coop campaign, zombies, free dlc, etc etc. That was before we got milked to death, and I personally like the time period of WaW and the guns more.

BF3 is better than all. but if you are askin' for a call of duty game , I recommend you MW2 . mw3 sux

CoD4!!!! But i want Black Ops its very balanced with no overpowered weapons, less hackers and dedicated servers... im not very happy with mw2 and mw3

Just try both and see for yourself , i have mw3 and can't really say it's "bad" game. Tbh i actually don't know why people are flaming mw3 so much...

They are the exact same game. It don't mean a thing, cuz it aint got that swing.

I go mostly for Single Player experiences, so it goes (Modern age): MW, MW2, MW3 & Black Ops tied for third (turd).

Have no desire to play them MP. At all.

MW2 has the best maps, but ridiculous perks (Commando Pro) and weapons (G18 Akimbo).
MW3 has better perks and a little more balanced weapons, but the maps are meh...
Both contain way too much cheaters anyway, so I play none of them anymore (have them both on Steam).
BO -> dedicated servers -> admins who ban the cheaters. That helps a lot, but BO feels somewhat laggy all the time...
