I don't know, but I really wished I was good at strategy games. This game looks really fun...

Just because it's a third-person shooter doesn't mean it's not a strategy. Go ahead. I dare you to play this game without strategy. You won't get past the first level.

Well, he'll probably get through the first level. Those are tutorials. No one fails tutorials. XD

So you want to say that games like Mass Effect, Hitman or even Witcher are strategy games because you have to think in game (position yourself in combat, set up for fights, using whatever abilities or items you have to achieve your goal)? I never said this game doesn't have ELEMENTS of strategy but you can probably easily finish this game on lower difficulty levels without huge brain. You always can run at your enemies and try to kill them, but that's not the point I think...

You assume that Mass Effect, Hitman or Witcher are even half as brutal as the X-Com series is. This is very much a strategy game first, third-person shooter second.

You can beat most stratagy games at low difficulty levels without much thought.

lol, don't listen to this guy - it's strategy

If you have played Enemy Unknown, then expect a similar experience (which is great fyi!)

It's more tactical FPS/TPP rather than strategy. I don't like strategy games but I want to play this X-Com.

Nope. This is completely wrong.

You are wrong. Was confirmed by GMG support, bonuses come from Take Two. (Like with Bioshock Infinite.)

Could you link where they confirmed it? I've been waiting to pre-order from GMG just because of the levels.

EDIT: Nvm I saw your newest post

Ofc not - Steam =/= GMG - each site will have their own pool of people.

People need to buy on Steam to increase the number participating on Steam (for the bar to move forward) - if you buy on GMG that won't affect Steam's pre-purchase bar at all...Why would it?

Just think about what you asked

Well in this case you need to think.

I don't know and don't really care cause I own all of the bonuses (except the DLC of course). So I just pre-ordered it on GMG. :D

I suppose Steam will put everything in one packet you can't split up, while GMG will give individual keys. If the extra 20 % off at GMG on top of this isn't enough, I don't know what is :)

Steam will put the XCOM collection in one packet. And Spec-Ops in another, I guess. But GMG probably will have XCOM: EU + DLC for itself, and a key for the old XCOM games.

"The bonuses on our site are unlocked from games bought across the whole market, so sales count from everyone (Steam, GMG, etc., it all contributes to the global unlock :) ) and when it hits a new level 2K will tell us and we'll unlock it."

To all those who said no :D
