When do you say "thank you"?

Sometime I'll post a little thank-you for a giveaway before entering, if no one else has and I want them to feel that their gift is appreciated.

Certainly when I win. Also I thank for their giveaways if I enter a public one and no one has commented anything on it yet.

Only on Ga's for a group, whitelist, or game I really want. If not I only say it on games I win.

I always thank for a win, sometimes I thank for GA opportunity (especialy when I have WL the game) or when no one else before showed gratitude.

When winning or apreciating a really good giveaway, in public GAs.
In private ones, I try to bump the threads always, without generic "thank you" or "bump", if I have someting to say related with the topic.

I really don't like to see messages notifications and then discovering they are generic "thanks" to one of my giveaways, so I try not to do it in others'.

if im or is whitelisted, or the game is whislited, or its a group, or a expensive game, or i feel like it :v, im gratefull to everyone on this craze little part of the internerd

Also, I thank people for stuff like rerolling if I happened to win something I already got right before then, and I like to put something thank-you-ish in a comment for a giveaway of a game I particularly like and that's either whitelist or in a small group (^w^)

Always in the comments, then upon receiving the game.

I only enter few group/whitelist giveaways for games I really want, and I usually know the person giving away the game, so it's not really like I'm spamming. I think it's just polite to thanks the giveaway creator for contributing a nice giveaway, unless they request not to do so.

I say thanks if it's a wishlisted game, I'm on a persons whitelist, the creator asks for it and if I win.

I used to say thanks for most my entries but i stopped it after a few months because i found out it was pointless to copy/paste a thanks comment just for entering a GA and now just say thanks after i won the GA.

Just in one case i still say thanks after entering a GA and that's when i see the GA creator requested sharing something or try to have a conversion with entries then i'll add a thanks for GA comment to my reply plus answering to their request/bait. :P

i'd rather post something else than "thanks", but it's better than nothing unless it's an automated message

I always post something, thanks message or something relevant to the description. Sometimes even in GAs I don't enter

I'm used to do it now in private giveaways, because I feel like the GA creator cares more about them.

Whoever blacklisted me for this thread: wow, asking questions is frowned upon around here? O.o;

I'd rather blacklist people who spam thanks. It's only purpose is to annoy others with the message notifications. "Hey, did someone answer my question on the forum maybe? Nah, just another autojoin bot spamming thanks."

I only say thanks if I win. I do sometimes comment something else depending on the giveaway, person giving the game or the description if it's relevant.

Just when i win ! without win is a useless spam of notifications !

I say it if I win or if it is for a game that rarely gets a GA

After I've won, or if it's a game I really have high on my wishlist and it doesn't already have a 100 comments.

Always when I win and if the GA has a description promoting conversation or I think have something meaningful/funny to say I also comment. And always when entering for wishlist games.

most giveaway creators seem to find it annoying if they get "thank yous" to the giveaway itself (every reply does send a notification after all) so I tend not to, but I try to think of something to say in the thread (when there is one) if I'm awake enough to do so. whenever I win a giveaway though I always thank the creator, 'tis only polite after all
