Day 2 Afternoon
Took a train from Takamatsu over to Marugame to see the castle - one of the few original castles left in Japan. It's situated on top of a hill overlooking the city - good placement. I'm sure it was easily defensible. The view from the top is nice too. That's pretty much the only attraction in Marugame, so we headed back afterwards. Not before stopping to get a chocolate melon pan though.

Chocolate melon pan... sounds sickly sweet but looks oddly good. :o
thanks for the continuing GA series, always interesting to check what you've posted today... and this one happened to contain a wishlisted GA so thanks for that too
