Torchlight has a netbook mode, you may be lucky even though those are terrible specs.

Write some genres that interest you too.

Since they are on sale, lots of SqEnix games will run on it - classic Hitman (well, not sure if Absolution would work, but rest of them should, I especially recommend Contracts and Blood Money), Just Cause 2 should also work, classic Tomb Raider games, just don't buy that bundle as it have tons of useless DLC, just use it to find games in it - like Legend, Anniversary, Underworld (not sure if reboot from 2013 would work on your PC).

Look at anything before 2010, it should work without much problems on this specs.

You're probably looking at older games (things like Portal and Civilization 4 should be fine) or indie titles (Terraria, Stardew Value, Pony Island etc).

Or there's always Doom...

Doom is of my all time favourite games! More than twenty years and it's still going strong!

It's still a great game - but I don't miss having to take my PC to my friends house to play multiplayer...

That's why all significant source ports of it (prBoom, (G)ZDoom, Zandronum, etc) have online multiplayer support :)

Civilization 4 runs on a single CPU core only. Turn will get very long if one plays mods with big maps.

I was fine with Civ4 on a similar system, which is why I suggested it. Either I'm being thick or you are thinking of Civ5 - which did run like crap with mods or or was unplayable on larger maps.

I am not completly sure about my system I used back then. I should have been a similar CPU with 4 gig of RAM. Using the mod collection "A new Dawn" and modifying the xmls for longer games I used to have several hundred units in late game. Turn would last about 10-15 minutes then.

Fair enough. I never tried that but I can believe Civ4 would run like poop on that CPU with ' a new dawn' and several hundred units.
