Tell me before I buy. Is it actually any good or is it simple nostalgia for them that gives me my love for them? I'm going to buy anyway, but it'd be nice to have some warning. :D

And that's why I love GOG so much, you can find there games which you can't find anywhere else anymore.

I'm hoping Disney and Activision put up the older Star Wars games on GOG or Steam some time soon. Surely they have to know they'd get a ton of money from them.

Loved Pandemonium when I was younger though I don't think it's aged that well.

To be fair, the final few levels were a bitch to beat. I don't think I ever did it either. The sequel was a lot easier though.

Cant remember why I didn't finish it though. Me failing on the more difficult levels... very big chance. I was pretty young back then :p Never played the sequel I think.
Damn, now I want them on Steam (I like GoG.. but... I'm kinda a Steam fanboy for PC games :x)

We've all had that happen, I think. :|
Friendly English tip, by the way. You lent it to a friend. Borrowing is when you are the one taking it, lending it is when you're giving it to someone.

Plot for the first game: Nikki, an acrobat turned amateur sorceress, and Fargus, a bad court jester with a talking stick-puppet called Sid, meet at a wizard training seminar. They steal a wizard's spellbook and accidentally create a giant monster called Yungo that eats the village whole. To defeat it, they have to journey across the land to the Wishing Engine to wish it away. They do that and gain a chicken and Fargus' village all turn into clones of him as well.
Plot for the sequel: When a magic comet passes over the land, Nikki decides to steal its magic instead of studying, but the evil Goon Queen Zorrscha wants the same thing. Nikki and Fargus have to beat her to it, taking on a giant egg monster and piloting a flying mech through a kaleidoscope filled with asteroids. They find Zorrscha, who turns into a zombie Shiva with bling and they have to defeat her by hitting her jewellery. If Nikki kills her, she gains control of the universe. If Fargus does, he creates a world with his face and becomes the sun.
No, I'm pretty certain you got about as much sense out of it as anyone else did.

Holy crap, when were these two rereleased and why the hell did no-one tell me? I grew up with these on the PC but lost the disks over a decade ago. I've spent forever trying to find them again, to no avail, not even on The Pirate Bay or anything. No-one seemed to have them or even remember they existed. And now they're suddenly available to purchase again legitimately? Holy shit, I love GOG.com. Anyone else remember these games?
