Indeed, they had multiple accounts.

Seems they are repeating that, given they just posted below. >:(

Hey guys, I would like to point out that I have no connection to www.steamlottery.com or its owners. This is no dupe account; I have been a member of Steam for 3 Years. I am not promoting my website and if I am breaking any rules of steam gifts then please advise asap, all I'm trying to do is explain what my website is, what it does and reply to feedback.
Thanks for reading.

WTF
there are 3 shades per row, but 50 is not divisible by 3, sure there is 1 more shade at the top, but 49 isn't divisible by 3 either, thus just by glancing at that picture one can conclude there are not 50 shades of meh on it
you retard, go meh yourself

eh, i dont trust this one
its like literally the same concept as steamgift, except you pay to be able to participate in giveaways
Comment has been collapsed.
It's kind of the same concept as a real world lottery or one of the countless 'raffles' in countless places, the only one that benefits in the long run is the site itself. Whether it works or not, do yourself a favour and stay away from these sites as all that'll happen is that you'll lose what little stuff you've got.

please understand that we dont have much reasons to believe that you wouldnt just take the stuff and run away
all these newly started sites are quite scetchy to say the least, especially since your site doesnt offer anything that we cant find on steamgift/steamcompanion, with the difference is that were paying for the "privilege"

You many not have many reasons to trust my website and that is why I am here; to prove to you that is is not a scam, we have been running for a few months now and all past lotteries are displayed user "Archive".

Still waiting your answer as to how this site of yours offers anything more than lets say steamgift

Hey Zetikla. I have never said that my website does anything different to other websites, if you don't want to use this my website I have no problem with that. I am not here to advertise my website, I did not create this thread, I just didn't want false information being spread about my website.
Thanks for reading, I strongly suggest you read my reply to Vlvgmr just below.

Whether it's a scam or not it looks like it's just created to make money. Just like all raffles. This is why I hate raffles/lotterys. I wouldn't take part in it, especially when you have sg instead.

Hey guys, I am the creator of the website, I have read through your comments and find it necessary to reply.
Now I'm not saying that my website is for everyone, but I can answer the obvious questions people have like "Is it a scam?", the website does have an FAQ tab where many questions are asked so please read that if you are unsure.
In the comments of this announcement I explain to someone how it is impossible to make profit:

Here is my Facepunch Post where I gave out some free entry codes because of the great feedback I got :3

Now I will be happy to answer any questions you have (after I get in from class)

2 things i noticed from the anterior post,
First, don't be rude about your product and specially to your customers, you are only
scaring potential customers and losing brand positioning.
Second, put someone else in charge of the branding.
Questions
Why permabanned?
Why you let one account with good games while people out there is suffering for games like that?

Hey, we are not associated with the old Steam Lottery, I just thought I could do what they did but better.
Comment has been collapsed.
according to the archive, in the lottery of 6th September 2015, there were between 190 and 200 tickets.
In a worst case scenario, each ticket represents 1 item, and each of these items can only be sold for 3 cents, or 1 cent in profit per sale. In this case it's 2€. However, a worst case scenario is exactly that, so I'd guess 4€ to 6€ is more likely in a low profit scenario.
The archive doesn't tell what games were at stake, but on the current lottery, the lowest value of the games is:
The Ship Single Player (Couldn't find info), Terraria 1.6€, Monaco 1.25€ and 0.88€ in bundle. Both of these games have been in bundles, so one can speculate they could be neutral byproducts of a bundle purchase...
Thus I cannot see how one can claim it's impossible to make profit.

"say the two games cost me £14 (two £7 indi games) then I am going to have to buy them with my own money and just hope the next lottery earns a profit or someone gifts me a game" - http://steamcommunity.com/groups/WishaGame#announcements/detail/799742767689420192
we all know only a retard would buy such games at full price to giveaway, thus what you wrote here does, in my opinion, say a lot more than meets the eye
Comment has been collapsed.
I understand what you are saying, and this is very true. That is why when I made a profit I did a massive lottery where the main game was GTA 5,this game is not in a bundle and I bought it for full price and spent all my profit. I will do something like this in the future again. When I get home I will give links

I would also like to point out that I have to buy the games on Steam and no other websites as Steam money cannot be transferred into real money so that rules out being able to buy games from online websites or bundles( if I were to buy a knife worth £50-£300 and sell it on an online market but I can't do this as I make no were near that much off the lotteries). Now, believe it or not I am no mastermind; I am fifteen years old and have prospects of getting into a job based around software development, as you may know it is very hard for some people to learn to code, I have always had to code to learn and this website is there for me to expand my knowledge of PHP, Js, C#(Steam Bot) and working with APIs (json), I have no reason to make profit off this website as I do many free lance jobs that pay enough for me to keep my online hobby's going. Please understand that I know what I'm doing is not at all perfect and I know that some people don't like it and that's fine, if you don't like it then don't use it.
I must say that your comment atlleast had some evidence to back it up, I hate comments like "obviously a scam". These types of comments have no evidence or explanation, for example it would be nice to know why you think it's a scam so I can fix that.

Alright, sry for the trouble.
I don't have a problem with things being for profit, though if they are one thing and claimed to be another, then I do. In my opinion, in your case I would be ok with something where say 95% of profit is invested back to the community trough better lottery prizes and/or giveaways, while 5% is kept for yourself, say, as an extra incentive to keep working on the site, as long and it's clearly stated so. This is my opinion though.
From what I've seen somewhere, it appears there has existed a website with the same name, though with bad reputation? I this is the case, some people may get a bad 1st impression just by hearing the name, and associate both sites.
You can for example pick up good opportunities outside of steam, and reallocate that same amount on steam for personal usage, I'd say that's fair. I personally keep an eye on () for opportunities.

In terms of coding I'd say it seems you've made some nice working bot/website, keep it up!
Have you ever considered C++ ? :p

Hi again. Thanks for the reply and understanding what I am saying, this was no trouble; you had doubts and I helped get rid of them.
Also I had no clue that steamlottery.com had such a bad reputation, because of this I will look into changing some main design aspects like Logo and some layout.
Thanks for replying so fast and sorting this out :333

Oh and yes I have considered C++ but I have no use for it yet, Steam Bots are either C# or Java

That is totally understandable, it is a users preference if they like Raffle sites or not.

It's one of those "spam your referral link" shitty sites. Stay the hell away from this, I know I will.
Plus they expect you to give them your stuff to join. LOL!
Comment has been collapsed.
Hey Zomby2D. We are not a "spam your referral link" site, giving a link to friends is one of three ways to enter the lottery, including free entry codes that are given out on FacePunch and steam groups that are partnered with us, entering with crappy/worthless items that you don't need or giving out a referral link. We "expect" nothing from you, as this is an optional activity to take part in.

Honestly....have you forgotten about what happened last time?
Reminder: http://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/JZWS1/wwwsteamlotteryeu-feedback-and-ideas
These type of practices were not wanted then, and do not seem wanted now. Bans happened back then, really...you might just want to give it a rest and advertise elsewhere.

I am not affiliated with these other people? I did not make this post? I am just stopping false information being spread about my website.
