This is encore day. Encore day just happens to be the last day of the summer sale. I don't see what's the problem.

You cry too much. But I do agree that the Encore is supposed to be after the last day of Summer Sale. So in this case, the 31st. BUT that would mess up the Weeklong Deals etc. So in the end, it's better like this! ;D

I heard there is gonna be free games during "encore" sale.

yes... i see only 1 solution for your problem. stop buying games on steam. they hate you, is obvious this is against you, so you should not support them anymore. don't buy more games on steam... ever. specially on sales.

Yeah, I understand what you said. It happened to me too. I only figured that it would end 30th at the time the sales refresh (2pm for me) and not July 1st when I saw the re-deals and no community choice. But you're overreacting a bit, don't you think?

Dude, they do this every year. Plenty of people could have told you if you somehow didn't know. Being surprised or disappointed is ridiculous.

Without reading OP whole post - if memory serves, originally there was an encore sale AFTER the sale was over. So I do get what you are saying. It changed somewhere along the way.
At this point though Im pretty used to it.
Only thing Im QQ'ing about is Remember Me. Wanted it and it was on a flash when I was at work. And never went on after. QQ

It's encore because the most famous deals get put up again. The way they do it is perfectly fine. But it seems some people really can't be pleased. Always crying how bad the sale is because the only games the want (and don't have yet) were released just few weeks earlier or are still early access and therefore get no high discount.

Just because you didn't understand their application of a word does not mean you're being swindled or that Steam is a bad company, etc. etc... Yes, encore means "again" and "once more". They use the word to mean games that have been on sale before come back on sale AGAIN. They're not using it to mean "another sale day". Wtf man...

The sale already ended on 28th June. So the Encore day would be on June 29 (on this case, 29 - 30).
There's really nothing wrong on that :/

the whole sale was an encore sale. the same games were showing up on all 3 deals( daily , flash AND community.
