I didn't know that a lot of Steam games also let you play them without using Steam, here's a list.

Such as being able to play Ori and the Blind Forest DE without using Steam, getting free downloads of Don't Starve from Humble Bundle using your Steam CD Key, etc.

I think Steam should do this more often with its games. They definitely don't advertise this like GOG does. Pretty cool stuff.

"I think Steam should do this more often with its games."

Steam (Valve) isn't the developer or publisher of 99.5% of the games on Steam. Steam has DRM as an option but the decision to use DRM is the decision of the publisher and developer.

Valve has nothing to do with it.

I know that. I didn't mean Valve itself, I mean the games as a whole on Steam should have more choices for players, sorry if I worded that poorly and confused you.

I wasn't confused, per se. I just wanted it to be clear to anyone reading the thread.

There are people out there that think Valve does a lot more than they do.

I already knew about this, though in the end even DRM games aren't really an issue for the most part, hell, I've plaved many from my account over lengthy periods of time when I wasn't able to connect to the internet, even though they're running DRM. In the end though, I just don't understand the purpose of DRM. It'll never stop pirating, it just acts as an annoyance for some people. But even if somehow they did stop piracy, I honestly feel it might do more damage than good to many devs financially, but that is just my opinion on it.
