Oh god, please stop seriously! Tribes has been around a hell of a lot longer then Halo, actually halo is like a slow paced tribes with no air combat.

Sorry if I come off harsh but...way to many people say this and its sorta sad.

Tribes bears no resemblance whatsoever to Halo other than the player models. And Halo must look like Tribes since Tribes is the older game. And if you don't play it, it's really your loss since it's probably the best multiplayer FPS I've ever played. It's also fairly complex as far as the controls go. For a FPS, I mean. And just so you know, I hate Halo.

Hi, I'd like to give a non-fanboi-sounding reply to this.
I never played the earlier Tribes games, although I was aware of them. I played through Halo: Combat Evolved (the first one) on all difficulty levels on PC and loved it. I've played a very little bit of Halo 2/3/whatever local multiplayer on consoles and it's okay (good-ish).

Despite appearances via screenshots of a certain world (my first thought was also, "it looks like Halo"), Tribes plays nothing like Halo.
Imho, a better comparison is Counter-Strike. It can be nearly as unforgiving, and you definitely have to aim.

Also, skiing, once you get the hang of it, is tons of fun.
