And what we do with Dota 2? Now there are the beta invitations they give you randomly, and the invitation gifts you can buy in the Dota 2 Store. The invitation that you can buy in the Dota 2 Store comes with a bunch of in-game items, the beta invitation no.

Yes. Also, beta servers will be closed/dev-only when the full game is released.
They might bring/give access to beta servers back like they did with TF2 Beta and CS:S Beta, but playing these requires buying the full game (not sure how it stands now since TF2 is f2p, but it applies to CS:S).
