New game, Star Trek: Resurgence, from former Telltale devs, doesn't appear to be coming to Steam. This might just entice me to make my first actual purchase from the Epic Games Store. How about you?

I never got why the animosity between the fans of both franchises, I always liked both. I miss the third the star series, Stargate, it concluded in a pretty awkward way with it just being canceled at random.

SG-1 and Atlantis concluded properly and leaded to Universe, it was Universe the one that didn't got renewed and left the story in the middle of nowhere.
I must admit that Star Trek can do plot better than Star Wars, way better sometimes, but the galaxy far away has a vibe that's hard to replicate, and that vibe can carry the whole franchise most of the time.
Recently I watched Lower Decks after hearing a bunch of negative comments about it and I ended up enjoying it quite a bit, sure it's not the best incarnation of Star Trek but it can be hilarious when absolutely everything goes wrong because of the domino effect set up at the start of the episode, or sometimes a few episodes before.

It will more than likely be either a half year or year exclusive on the EGS. After that it will most likely be heading to Steam.

If it's not coming to steam, it must mean they don't want me as a customer. Until epic catches on to steam, I don't care about them selling games and buying exclusives. I have thousands of other games to play. This one looks okay but I'm not so desperate over 1 game, when the developer can't be desperate enough to try and reach out to me as a customer. If they don't want my money, I ain't gonna go out of my way to give it to them when I already have a much better platform.

I don't have some animosity against steam, rather I like them especially since I spent so much time there and I have quite a few friends and memories here. So it makes no sense for me to abandon all that and just start new on epic games, when there's no incentive to go there other than them trying to bait me by buying out many brand new release and making them exclusive even if just for a while. It only antagonizes them, not sure why that's so hard for them to realize. I think them giving out so many free games is pretty amazing like I already have a huge library there for free, but again, I have no profile there and I enjoy that on steam. Them using the money that people spend in their stores to buy out celebrities and put them into fortnite or buy exclusive licenses to make skins like batman, master chief, naruto, etc. makes me think they're wasting players` money on licenses and where that money could go instead. So no, until they address a lot of these issues, star trek isn't gonna buy me out. Hitman is one of my favorite series, and look, they haven't managed to buy me yet with H3. But it's coming to steam next year "presumably". Meanwhile I got cyberpunk and I haven't gotten to play it yet but I have a feeling it's been patched pretty good so far. Also can get borderlands 3 now, and also RDR2. So there's plenty if I want current AAA titles.

I am however a fan of Unreal Engine and I'm waiting on UE5 especially since the cut they take is not abysmal, yet, but I am disappointed that probably a large portion from UE4 money is going to these exclusivity deals they keep making.

Looks interesting. I still don't know about Epic and the whole monopoly lock on games is got to end but the game looks good.

Well....is there a game (except Fortnite perhaps) that didn't come to Steam after the 1 Year (or shorter) exclusive period?
I think i would wait for that until i decide what to do (and at least read some reviews and wait for some patches).
But right now every exclusive Epic Game came to steam (and sometimes even to GoG, thats my favourite store), so i'll wait at least
1 year until i think about what to do.

Also, perhaps in the survey there is missing the point "Wait 1 Year until it comes to steam". ;)
