train is creating invite only Ga's create a thread and post the link of the first GA (A).
In the description of A you put the link to B. Description of B link to C and so on.
Many first timers forget to post a link in the last GA back to the starting thread ^^

SGTools are an external site to help people to filter rule-breakers on SG, beside other things
Trains are private GA linked on sequence
Gifs are easy: You got the url of the image [Like https://media.giphy.com/media/W80Y9y1XwiL84/giphy.gif] and put like this:

About some of the things you mentioned above:
learn how to do trains
It's simple but time consuming. All you gotta do is create Invite Only giveaways and decide on the order. Once you do all you have to do is link them in the previous one's description. Or alternatively use joonatoona's script to autofill most of the boxes
learn how to post gifs (I am not digital native^^)

Alternatively again you can use userscripts like revilheart's SGST which will add an insane amount of extra stuff, all toggleable(can't use the "vanilla" site after using this anymore, it's an amazing overhaul). One of them is recognising links pasted into the reply box here and automatically format them to Links/Images etc
Generally you can find a great number of userscripts here which might be worth checking out.
Anyway, hope the rest of your SG "career" proves as jolly as your first month :D

It would be better if you didn't if you don't want annoy people. When you won or sent several hundreds games, you will understand why. ;)
I already have to wait about 50 seconds while it is checking me - it is really annoying. I stopped to entry these GAs because of it. The more games a user sent or won, the more time they have to wait. I rather don't want to know how long people with 3K+ GAs have to wait for it.

So if one really wants to play the game and therefore to take a part in a giveaway he'll take his time and will enjoy it while the other will filter out, another tool of SG! =P
It's like a jigidi puzzle which is also a time investment, when you see a huge puzzle and you don't really want the game you will give up while the willing one will finish the job and get the precious link! =d

Asking people to list the rewards first may seem rude but what if I waste more than an hour of my lifetime to have a chance to win a game I already have ^_*

Hi,
tomorrow I will be a user of SG for one month. Time passed fast. First I was a bit confused with this site, but after I found the unlucky-7 I have learned the basic things about steamgifts.
After starting with my first GAs, I wanted more interaction, so I joined two nice groups and transformed to a gifter at unlucky-7. After receiving my first whitelist I took first time notice of this tool and started also a little list (now: 16 persons on it).
When I look at my stats I see over 2.000 entered GAs, 24 wins, and 74 sent gifts. When did I do all this? But it seems I like this site and the community. So I want to thank you for being here. :-)
And one little fact more: Yesterday I played my first pug-game. Before steamgifts I did not even know that such games are on steam. :-)
