I damn hope it will be as i am going to the cinema after 15 years to watch this movie with a friend. And if it wont be the most awesome movie i have seen this year...i will not be pleased

Hmm I read that the trailers showed ALL the good stuff - and J.J.Abrams was very upset about it. Apparently he said words to the effect of "If you've seen the trailer, you've seen the best parts of the movie".

I dunno about that. Everyone has their opinion of "all the good stuff". I for one consider any scene with joker "good stuff", so your argument is kinda invalid. Also, my first comment was more about how they managed to show so much action and funny stuff without spoiling the story, because I currently have no idea what is going on in that movie :3

They actually went back and reshot scenes because the trailer not only showed the good bits, it was found out it showed each and every good bit from the entire movie… Soooooooooooo…

Apparently the director and the actor playing Boomerang said it was due to the studio giving more money to make the movie better. So they are more action scenes reshoot.

Hopefully. When a movie in post-production suddenly needs new footage, it usually bodes terribly. There have been examples on it turning into an enjoyable films though, so here is hoping. If they could capture the same atmosphere Gail Simone did in her run on the comics, it can be an action-packed, fun, but character oriented summer flick.

I'd like to be positive about this, but the short answer is: No.
Longer answer: The movie will be either a total disaster or simply mediocre, and that depends on what characters get more screentime. From trailers it looks like Jay Hernandez (El Diablo), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), Will Smith (Deadshot), and Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag) are doing good in their roles. The dynamic between El Diablo and Deadshot looks hilarious and could serve as the carrying comedic force for the movie. These combined with some cool action scenes the movie could be decent enough, but if all of these are pushed back into minor roles for the sake of Joker and Harley then it's going to suck. Both Jared Leto and Margot Robbie induce high amounts of secondhand embarrassment for their "2edgy4u" interpretations of their roles, and the look they gave to Leto's Joker really doesn't help with that either. So, if the movie focuses more on Harley and Joker (which I fear it will) then it's just going to be cringe fest all the way.

What do I think? Well (dear Lord, I'm gonna be on a lot of blacklists after this), I think it looks like crap. Will Smith as Deathshot? That's racially inaccurate, Deathshot is a white man. I'm not racist, but that's not right. People would throw a hissy fit if a white man played the role of Black Spider in a film, so why is it okay the other way around? Jarred Leto's Joker looks like a wankster. He's not scary and/or silly/comedic, and the tattoos, hairstyle, and grill make him look like a frikin' moron. Plus, the Joker is supposed to be physically disfigured from some incident, while Leto looks like he just throw some powder on his face to look pale.
Harley Quinn is the only decent looking character, and even her character looks stupid. The hair style and color are off, the clothing don't suit Harley Quinn, and she acts/looks like some "2 hArdCorE 4 u" scene kid. I thought the "scene" thing died out years ago, but unfortunately not. I'm waiting for the trailer where she says "rawr means I love you in dinosaur," so it'll be official.

I haven't seen it, to be honest. But in the comics, Deadshot was white, not sure why they changed it O.o
As for Heath Ledger (I'm not trying to start a war, I promise), I didn't care for his Joker much. Jack Nicholson was always my idea of the perfect Joker - extremely goofy, but still a psychopath who would kill his own mother just for a laugh. Ledger's Joker was just too dark. Not a bad thing, but it's not so Joker-ish. But besides that, Ledger's makeup looked good, and mostly suited the Joker (again, a little too dark though), while Leto's looks like crap. Like he just threw powder on his face and said "lulz, I'm the Joker. Yeah, that'll do." What about the lipstick and Chelsea Smile? That's just as important as having the pale face q:

I'm not going to blacklist you, I think that it's a conversation that needs to be had respectfully. I respectfully disagree, There are some characters that can be played by any race. Deadshot is one of them.
There are others that can't. Superman and Batman need to be white. Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, these characters need to be white. For separate reasons depending on the history etc. There are some iconic characters that simply must be played by the correct race and then there are others where it doesn't matter. Nick Fury was white, now he's black. The horror show that was fantastic 4, it's not that it necessarily needed to be white but the making one black and other white was unnecessary and reeked of nepotism. I had more of a problem with who they decided to switch more than anything.
That being said, I can't remember the last movie that I liked Will Smith in so it really is just getting big names. As for Harley, she is one of my favorite female characters period. Poison Ivy is a close second, them together is like the best thing ever in my mind. I want DC to suceed. I do, but after the clusterfuck that was BvS. Eh.
What I'm worried about is the re-shoots. What was the last comic book movie that had re-shoots so close to the release date and how did that turn out? Oh did I hear Fantastic 4?

No. Why, you may ask?!
1) They're mixing some villains together. Why mix so many "protagonists" together? I hate it when they do that.
2) Batman looks like a guest star there, instead of a protagonist. I'm saying that because of the trailers, but maybe they'll prove me wrong.
3) It doesn't seem to be any reasonable storyline - or any storyline at all. All I saw from the trailers (maybe they'll prove me wrong here too) is people kicking each other's ass. Full action, zero story, but a lot of witty and funny comments.

Just like Avengers is a team of super-heroes. But I don't like seeing them mixing a lot of heroes and villains. I didn't say that I expected them to have only one villain in the Suicide Squad. I know what Suicide Squad is supposed to be. But I'm against the whole idea. But, you know, maybe I'll like it. I don't even know. I mean, I liked the whole idea of X-men, for example, mostly because they are all supposed to be always together and it seems more normal when they're together.

It all started when they revealed Leto's Joker and people didn't like it, me neither. What annoyed me the most were the ridiculous tattoos. After the backlash they said the tattoos were just stuff they were trying out and wouldn't make it into the movie. Still saw them in the trailers! And they suck so much. I bet they just wanted to give the characters a hip look or whatever, but c'mon, he has "hahahahahahahahahaha" tattooed on his chest 'n arms. Imagine Joker walking into the studio asking for that and also "Damaged" on his forehead. I'd understand if the tattoos would be badly made to indicate that he made them himself, but this way? Ruins the character for me. I already disliked leto as a choice for Joker to begin with.
The movie still looks entertaining, but not what I hoped it would be.
I haven't read the comics tho, since I was always more of a Marvel guy, but that's my opinion on the flick and my expectations.

I've read the New52 comic series of the Suicide Squad, and if half the insanity, over the top-ness, coolness and morbid jokes will transit to the movie from it, it will be a great watch.

I dunna... Will Smith doesn't play Deadshot, but the same smart-ass clown he plays in EVERYTHING he's in. Not saying Deadshot should be a completely humorless character, but I don't think he finds the balance. Margot Robbie, on the other hand, is shaping up to be fantastic as Harley Quinn. And Jared Leto as the Joker looks...interesting, to say the least. Jai Courtney is probably gonna suck (like he always does), so that balances out tings.
It'll all come down to the script, in the end. If it's an unfocused mess like Batman v Superman, then no, it won't be very good... But if it has tighter writing and focuses on just telling a story, like Man of Steel, then yeah, it could be good. Too early to tell with just some trailers.

From what I understand so far, the biggest issues is how everyone looks. In MY opinion, I think everything is mediocre, ESPECIALLY Jared Leto. He's not a bad actor I think, but he doesn't look good. The Joker is more of a psychotic clown than a tattooed, colourful gangster. Harley Quinn seems to be getting good reception. I don't really read comics or anything like that, so the rest of them is kind of "eh". Someone said Deadshot is supposed to be white, so it's not canonically correct...?
Anyways, a movie about a team of villains isn't a bad idea but it has to be done correctly.

Oh, right, Killer Croc. Played Arkham Asylum a while ago, should've caught onto that. I mean, I like realistic themes more because it's... Easier to enjoy and get into?
