Not adding NPCs was a design choice, so they wont add those. I'm not sure if it's worth €10 but that also depends on how much you can spare that money.

It's like Rust, a "survival" building not-so-massively-multiplayer game with only player characters (and maybe robots.) It's not an RPG and they can not turn it into an RPG, no reason to add NPCs. If it's worth 10€ for you or not, that's for you to decide. Your money, your time, your taste.

I can build some nice stuff in Miscreated, ARK Survival evolved , Conan Exiles and even that requires me to use tablet connectin to this pc with nvidia moonlight/splashtop/team viewer, to be on to defend stuff maybe ( though i can get friends/clanmates to def too ) but more fail imho, the decay timers , in conan exiles once every 6-7 days you have to walk nearby all foundations / building blocks ( not like in Miscreated where you just have to login and interact with the door of the base & few vehicles start their lights or like in ARK Survival evolved => just login and all your server stuff wont' decay :D ) , it's annoying really,smaller player clans won't have the upkeep time-efficient costs like a large clan ( 10 max in Conan Exiles players in clan lol ) ,etc , but rust's wipeouts pfff :| i sawa some youtube videos,it's still fun but imho pointless ,if i have to re-make all big bases all over again with wipeouts every 2-3 weeks lol :)

Tbh my laptop can't really run Rust, the simile was the "multiplayer experience in an empty world" just it has notes and voice files and robots, and quests comes from them.
If it would be possible to play solely with friends / on a server without griefers, I would play some, and buy at-around 5€ (if I would have a PC for it) . But I'm not sure how it would fare, I really lack the factions, a world that you're part of instead of building it, the stories... it's very likely a sandbox went too far.

If you want a loot-based multiplayer shooter just grab The Division 2, it's way better and has tons of contents.
If you want a new Fallout... install Fallout New California. It's a total conversion for New Vegas that acts as a prequel and is very good.

First they said it will never be on steam because Bethesda wanted to "directly serve" it's players.
Now this game have been sold for 10$ in many places. I guess they want to sell some copies on steam before they will close the servers.

November 2018 they said it will never be on steam.
Later they banned half of the player base for showing bugs and glitches on youtube.

People that are butthurt for Fo76's shortcomings, maybe they get patched,maybe not ( like NPCs, so far i heard there's ROBOT npcs ,so as a guy saiz ,it doesnt matter the skin they wear they are still npcs that gave him missions lol , i don't care if they're Robocop's son , maybe modders replace them with human npcs since Bethesda can't hire proper devs anymore hmm )
IMho there's other important shieeeet situations in Gaming INdustry that really demands gamers lawyers banding together & fighting against

other discontinued franchises => The Darkness 2 is on pc & Steam , the darkness 1 = for consoles only

I understand exclusivitiy, for console casuls cashgrabs , BUT Playstation has that live streaming service so i don't need a console anymore ,i'm good with my old SEGA with which i started gaming tyvm :D and Xbone also did that streaming services i think to compete with SONY , so now we can play God of war / Infamous / uncharted/ last of us / Until Dawn / Bloodborne / Demon Souls etc , on android tablet streamed / pc /laptop / toaster / smartwatch pipboy :D
Outrageous stuff is that good old expansions have been replaced by DLCs ( a lot which are useless ,or also some are Pay2win in pvp games lol ,it sure is fun beating p2w players without p2w gear ;D praise the FUN as my homies say in dark souls games hehe )

I was just sharing my opinion why it is a waste of money + time.
P.S. Also modding Fallout 76 gets you banned. So you can only play modded Fallout 76 if you create your own server and that is against Bethesda agreement so that gets your key revoked.
About Exanima I was waiting for this game but if a game is 4 years in early access it means it will never be a full game so I added it to my ignore list. I do that with all early access games that are in early access for 2 or more years. They will never get finished. They will never be a full game so they are not worth paying for.
Life is Feudal I don't care about because I prefer single player games not MMO/crafting games that flooded the market and are about 50 of them right now. I like to have a start and end of the story like a good book instead of playing one game for a year. Only game I play online is Borderlands 1/2/Pre-Sequel with my real life friends.
About expansions vs DLCs yeah that pissed me off too as I'm an old gamer but I just check all DLCs and those which looks like a true expansions I add to my wishlists and the ones that are only cosmetics or single map etc. I add to ignore list.
From what I see STARFORGE, The Stomping Land, Overkill's the walking dead - are marked by steam as abandonware so at least you can't buy this abandonware anymore. That is also why I don't but early access games as most of them end as abandonware.
About Fable I was pissed too because I finished Fable 1 and wanted to play 2 and 3 on PC.
For me Fortnite / PUBG / Ring of Elysium / Hunt: Showdown etc. are the same type of games that I have no interest in them at all as they are just a boring multiplayer timewaster for me.
Games like magicka, alien vs predator 1/2/3 are good games but you can't expect people to play the same games for 10 years.

I was biased against Bethesda since 4 continents of our lovely planet & tenths of countries, had Crash To Desktop from Creation Club in Skyrim specialedition / Fallout 4 , since the start , at the " press any key/button " thingy lol :)
And they fixed their stuff because it's illegal to GeoBlock Europe now since december last year i think lolz.....
It wasn't 4 continents & tenths of countries 's ISPs that blocked bethesda,lolz ,it was their scrambled code, bad devs,bad code , but they fixed it so now i can get backpacks in FO4/Skyrim survival mode & crossbows in fo4 etc lol
BUt yes , most AAA devs do not care about us gamers,like Larian Studios ( Divinity franchise ) and others do :D
