(Ok, not actually. But I have to say, a few years back when things were livelier I had better success having civil disagreements with people here on SG than I did a lot of other places. Comparatively, SG seems to have pretty good norms.)

Odd coincidence, 138 giveaways, 138 blacklists. It's most likely as Rodasa has suggested, and some have blacklisted because you've only made giveaways for games that were given for free.
I wouldn't worry about it. You're not doing anything wrong or against the rules.

you add notes to peoples profile from esgst. I started using it myself so I can keep track of why I might've added someone to bl/wl and forgot. Might be other ways but thats the way I know how to do it

Welp, others beat me to it. I use ESGST extension for SG, which has the ability to add notes on SG users on their profile, among many many other features. You can also set it up so it pops up a usernote form whenever you white or black list someone.

But you can just blacklist 1000 people, and effectively you will be blacklisted by 1138 users then. I advice to chose wisely, maybe you will be able to clear available giveaways list totally, or at least greatly reduce it.

Frankly, I don't get it. Rulebreaking leads to relatively short suspensions, rudeness leads to short suspensions (if any at all), and this person creates a nonsensical yet harmless thread, and that's apparently enough for a permaban? What have I missed?

"Not activated/multi winnings" would be handled much softer years ago and they don't want/can't punish, the ones that got their punishments in the past with the old rules, a second time.
That is why cases since a few months get handled with 5 days+ and lead earlier to a perma suspension as it was the case in the past where they started with 3 days.
And i heared about that it was handled in the past, before my time at sg, with 3 days not for each GA only for the complete case that were reported they were caught, so maybe only 1x 3 days for 3 GA's (i am not able to verify that info)
