People spent around $130 on Battlefield 1 at launch to get the base game, the deluxe edition extras, and the season pass.

Now, not even a year later, you can get the "Revolution Edition" which includes all of what I mentioned above, for $60. You can get it for even cheaper at CDKeys for around $45 if you use their discount code. Even Origin has bundled this new Revolution edition with Titanfall 2 for a decent price for both games. Speaking of decent prices, the Ultimate Edition of Star Wars Battlefront is only $5 and the season pass is free!

Here's a video of a guy complaining about how he got burned by pre-ordering the ultimate edition before launch.

I would feel horrible if I pre-ordered the ultimate edition. I get hype and all that, but sooner or later there will be a complete edition for cheap. Why screw yourself over? This Revolution Edition has the Battlefield community in an uproar because it came out so early. Some people just never learn lol

I bought Wither 3 with -50% and after 2 months they made GOTY edition and was selling it for same price!!! I should get a free season pass :( but instead they forced me to torrent this crap to play those 2 DLCs :)

Nobody forced you to do anything :)

But I agree, lack of discounts for the witcher DLC was a bummer.
