I live in Mexico, and recently I received approval for an scolarship to study in France for one year, and (obviously) I'm gonna bring my laptop and all my Steam games with me, but I want to know if any of you has done this (even when going out in vacation) and could answer this questons:

  • Does the store changes to the current country store or it remains the same?
  • Does you steam wallet currency changes aswell?
  • If you buy a game in another country, Does it works properly when you reutrn to your country?
  • Are there any problems with games that you bought in your country of residence and have region-lock versions in the country you moved to?

I´m leaving in about a month, so no hurry, but I would like to know all of this before and don´t have any complications once I go to France.

No, unless you change it yourself.
No, unless you change it yourself.
Since you are going to a ROW country, yes.
Yes, IP-locked to certain regions. Not all of them.

Thanks for the quick response, I'm glad I'll be able to maintain mexican prices, change pesos for euros would be expensive as hell.

Yep, should. 20-30% more expensive, IIRC? Mexico is among the mid-tier regions in pricing.
