What do you do to keep people in your group interested? Other than more and more giveaways.... Like puzzles? Ideas?

Any puzzle ideas?

I thought about doing polls, but that can get a bit stupid after a while too.

Ill start making a list of you guys's (you guys'?) suggestions.

  1. Polls (from me)

  2. Quizzes

  3. Puzzles

  4. Review the wins

Some people do quizzes in chat for giveaways or puzzles.

Other than giveaways? Other than free stuff? Nothing. Users want free stuff.

Seriously, thought. I don't know anything else than giveaways and free stuff to interest people.

Well heres the thing. I don't want my members to become somewhat like robots. Click link, add entry, click link, add entry, etc. Its a boring process and soon enough its gonna be so boring and all the activity in the group will end, leaving only they click link, add entry, click link, add entry.......

I think that's what about 90% of the people in my group do. Click, ignore rules, enter ga, click, click, win, click. They occasionally get angry and complain about bad luck or complain about the lack of 'good' giveaways..

Exactly. I can simply avoid the " Click, ignore rules, enter ga, click, click, win, click."ing by masking the group more fun and challenging so people will participate.

What do you mean?

Reviews. A group I was in required a review of every win, and another group requires a monthly review as well.

Now I understand. So you have to actually play what you've won and review the game. That's a great idea :)

Indeed. Unfortunately, the group is no longer active, and even while it was, there were people who were rather slow. Not that I can talk, I took a while with one.

Make the members do something to be eligible to enter.

Example: Have them write a sufficiently embarrassing story about themselves, and only the submissions deemed embarrassing enough are allowed to enter the giveaway.

Something like ... If you gonna giveaway Final Fantasy VII u should ask question about the game and the person that gets the right answer wins the game? :3

Wouldnt that be like a puzzle, but just the first person who solves it wins?

But u can ask hard questions that u cant find easy on the internet i guess :P or things about the game like what company or the developer and such or stuff like ... HOW IS THIS GAME CALLED ON SOME PAGES ... or gamer culture about the game... if you dont wanna do just 1 question u can ask questions and the first 3 people that answer the question right gets like 5, 3 and 1 points and u do like 5 rounds of questions and the one with most points wins i guess :P ...
