I also thought the same. And then I got more confused with that sentence about "as a cat person" and started to think about puppy Shih Tzu cats.

At least Shih Tzu's can be a useful breed. Shove a stick up their arse and they're perfect for mopping the floor.

My mother is getting a puppy.
It will be born at the end of September.
It will be a Shih Tzu.
If it's a boy she intends to call it "Ramsay" after my maternal Grandmothers maiden name.
If it's a girl it will be called "Fleur" for no reason in particular.
As a cat person I cannot contain my enthusiasm.
